Can you use a floor jack and jack stands on flooring like this safely? Been thinking about doing my garage flooring one way or the other.

Thanks OP. Does anyone here have this installed? I think I might prefer doing the Rustoleum garage epoxy kit instead as it is a total seal and I won't have to worry about imperfect leveling in the concrete causing tile gaps or ridges, or sharp tool drops/heaving shelving causing unrepairable blemishes in tiles.

I have the Race Deck garage tiles which look very similar to these. I've had them for about 14 years.

They look awesome, but if you do much work in your garage I'd recommend an epoxy finish.

These are really hard to roll around on a creeper/seat. You get stuck constantly. They don't hold up well to jack stands unless you use some kind of puck under them. I also have a Bendpac lift and it chews these tiles up when raising and lowering your car.

And any fluid spill or leak you have will immediately seep through the cracks to the concrete underneath, making it impossible to clean up.

I used to drag them out of the garage in sections each year to power wash and clean underneath but haven't in ten years because it's a huge hassle. Next time they come out they won't be going back in.

As far as for a gym, in my experience they would be far too brittle to do any type of heavy lifting that involves dropping the weights. Deadlifts would be a hard no.

I'd look at horse stall mats for a cheap option in that area.

Sort the (epoxy) reviews by Lowest and you may change your mind.

Yeh, I've read those but I've also seen a few finished floors in person as well that have turned out amazing so I chalk up the differences to those who were prepping & applying it correctly and those who did not (but claim they did). It's certainly not an easy job, there are a few YouTube videos I've seen that go through it the right way and it's definitely a multi-day weather-dependent process to get it right.

Prep work is the key if you're looking to do any sort of epoxy/seal in your garage. If you have the tools, time, and patience to get the prep work right, then a DIY solution will work for you.

I've considered garage tiles many times in the past but I think there are too many cons to justify them. As another person pointed out, go with an epoxy if you really want to do something to your garage floors.

I wish, I'd buy 200 sq feet in a second if I could find this.

I wouldn't use this garage flooring for a gym, better off waiting for rubber.

I plan on doing the Epoxy flooring but am a bit split on whether or not to have someone else do it. I doubt I'd use the rustoleum kits, seems like there are better products out there.

It's all in the prep work! Need to fully remove all junk from the concrete, repair it all, diamond-grind it, clean it to where you are willing to lick off of it, then you can apply it

Id suggest a 100% solids epoxy floor. The stuff sold at bug box stores doesbt last long before you have to reapply. Do it once, so it right
