FYI, the collector's edition with the 1:1 scale BB model was cheaper when Amazon put it on clearance for $70 a few months ago. New Egg and Adorama also had clearances on these. This is probably the last of the inventory so if you really want a 1:1 scale BB, this is likely your last chance to get it at a good discount.
- I think the concept of the game is great in terms of a shared community that can help make your travels easier. I like the co-op nature even though you don't ever see anyone or really know who they are. I think the concept has a future in gaming.
- The story... is weird. Vintage Kojima where you really shouldn't think too hard about it or take it too seriously. This should be expected and on that merit, didn't have a problem with it.
- Graphically and audio-wise, terrific. Not surprising from a AAA-game.
- I don't need long cutscenes of showering and Monster energy drink product placement continually. Adds nothing to the experience.
- The gameplay is atrocious. It just is. Walking endlessly trying to not stumble over small rocks or hope to get swallowed by black pools is maddeningly boring. The fact that the whole game is built around this mechanic can't be understated. It's more tolerable once you get wheels, but the gameplay is still the same: go from point A to point B again, again and again.
- Candidly, I wouldn't buy the game. I would just watch the cutscenes online to get the story.
