Question I have Att. If I buy this, cancel prepaid and go back to my real att number with this phone will it work? Or do I need to still wait 6 months to "unlock". Assuming it'll work, will I then still be able to unlock with regular att 6 months later?

there is no regular AT&T, there are two types of services AT&T provides

- Prepaid (no credit check)
- Post paid(credit check required)

IF you use on Post paid without 6 months of using on prepaid, the Phone WILL work but you cannot unlock it for other carriers without FIRST using for 6 months on AT&T PrePaid (service / paid usage).

Remember AT&T Locked phones - post / or prepaid will work on vice versa as it is the same network.You can directly use it, the issue arises in using on other carriers like TMobile etc (if its AT&T Prepaid locked) then it wont work.

Didn't work for me at 8:30am on Wed. Store had the phone in stock for $249. Only $100 was deducted with the $50 plan and autopay. I confirmed the UPC matched the receipt. So, my total would've been $149 for the phone + $50 for the service = $199 + tax. Given this matches the ad on Walmart's website, I suspect the $99 price was a mistake that has been corrected (at least in my store).

Thanks for the report. Not a terrible deal to save $100 with a prepaid month, but definitely not storm the Walmart type deal as it was before. That was my interpretation of the ad - $149 for the phone with required one month plan. Probably fixed the system after they figured out their mistake yesterday.

Other tips to get the deal. Make sure they choose a $50 or greater plan, also you have to swipe a CC for your autopay info or the discount won't apply. The they swipe twice, once at the phone computer for the autopay info, then you actually pay at the register.
Just confirming. So the first swipe doesn't charge the credit card for the prepaid plan? (because isn't that not refundable? Would suck if I get charged for that and can't get this deal) Only the second swipe pays?
