A router lift is really easy/fun to make and you can make one with better adjustability for a lot less than this.
Personally, I use an iron router table surface on a router cabinet I made, and I built my router lift for <$70. It's much easier to use, with more accurate adjustability and it can function with any router (I currently use Bosch and Dewalt routers in my tables).
There's a ton of youtube videos on how to make different lifts. Some are easy, and cheap, but some can be crazy complicated as well. I prefer a pinion style lift I can adjust from the side vs the surface lift on most. It allows me to get accurate measurements from above as I turn wheel from the side. The top, or even worse; the underside, lifts can be a pain.
But good luck either way.
That said, once you start comparing lifts, you may very well decide to fork over the extra dollars for the upgrade that include the JessEm Mast-R-Lift II or several other similar styles such as the Incra Mast-R-Lift II and even the Woodpecker precision with the helper spring lift. And don't forget the assortment of rings you will need in the specific style to the lift table.... i.e. twist lock, magnetic, etc. As well, you may need a template guide to make life easier when installing.

It's more of a luxury item if you're a hobbyist but for anyone that does a lot of woodworking with their router table this streamlines the process. Quite a few modern routers have a sort of lift built into their fixed base but they aren't nearly as precise and still require you to access the router from below. The second best option currently to getting a router + nice lift is the Triton 3HP router which has a decent lift built it but still feels clunky in comparison to one of these third party ones. You'd want something like this Jessem if you're looking for superior control and repeatability.

As others have said, you can use it to lift router that is mounted under a table. But it has to be a certain router.

In general the top three 2.25HP routers seem to be the PC options, Bosch 1617, and Dewalt DW618.
