Sorry, my SD friends. Costco website clearly stated "additional line" is required to get rebate. I was planning to get this for my brother, but I got burnt by Costco deal before, so I checked fine-prints more carefully.

I don't have costco membership but can get the membership card from friend. I am the main Tmobile account holder though. Can I purchase the phone without him being there? He won't be able to come with me.

Hi Experts, Please help me here. I am getting this phone today with the help of my friend who is a existing T-mobile user. I am currently on 3 month Mint mobile 8GB plan and have already extended another 3 GB 12 months using Amex offers. How do I get this phone unlocked from T-mobile ? Can i do I immediately or have to wait for 40 days as per the policy. Is it 40 days of active use or can I put it in my drawer for 40 days and then ask for unlock ? The only other option I really have is to buy a T-mobile $15 prepaid plan for 2GB LTE and pay for two months ($30) to keep this phone active on T-mobile network. Any feedback would help me minimise my costs here. Thanks

Postpaid accounts
The device must have been used for at least 40 days on your line of service.
Individual, business, and government accounts must be in good standing.
If your balance is past due, we can help you make a payment.
If the T-Mobile account associated with the device is cancelled, the balance of the account must be zero.

Prepaid accounts
The device must have been active on the account for at least one year.
Exception: T-Mobile prepaid devices are eligible to be unlocked after $100 in refills have been applied to each active line on the account after the device was purchased.
Your only options are to use it for 40+ days on a postpaid line of service on T-Mobile, or 12 months on prepaid. You can bypass the time requirement on prepaid by refilling $100+.

Need help to clarify one thing:
I preorder TMO for the S20 FE phone with a trade-in for my S7+.
Received phone and see my bill with the trade in information, but i didnt send in my S7+ to trade in yet.
Now, i want to go for Costco deal instead, since i have 2 lines on my account, can i use my other line to an upgrade on Costco with trade in the same S7+ (given that i will return the new phone back to TMO to cancel the order for my first line).

The reason i want to cancel the first line order with TMO becoz i dun want the 24 months bill in credit.

TIA, will rep!
Yes, you can cancel or return the 1st line order then use the 2nd line for this Costco offer.
I did it in the past in T mobile and Costco (for Note 9 offer) w/o any problem. Even when T mobile CS asked and I said with Costco I don't have to tie 24 months, they said it's understandable.

I want to do this tomorrow. I would be trading in a S8 Active but it is an AT&T model that I am using on T-Mobile. If it has to be a T-Mobile version of the phone, I might trade in my I7 instead which is a TMO phone.
I tried to look for the eligible requirement for phone to be trade in. I'm 100% sure= because I did many trade in with all carriers- the phone can be any carrier version, don't need to be unlock. But I remember It has to be the U.S version. I tried to google it but still cannot find out yet. May be it's better to call the Tmobile CS to ask.

Ha, warehouse shopping at it's best, 12 pack of phones!
I wouldn't break my back trying to find 12 TMO trades.
I think it's 1:100 or more a rogue rep that would even suggest TMO only trades, but if they have a problem, have them look at 2020COSTCOSAMSUNGTRADE1 on:

I'm thinking about doing the Costco deal today.
I am currently on T-mobile postpaid.
Do these numbers look correct?
I do not want to overlook anything before buying.

$630 + 7% tax = $674.10 - $430 rebate = $244.10 for Costco s20 FE

$170 Street value of trade-in device : (brand new Cricket 32gb iPhone 7)
minus $60 Price Paid at Cricket = $110 profit forfeited due to trade-in

So $244.10 + $110 = $354.10 end cost for s20 FE

LOL. Fuzzy Math.
You can't appy the same trade-in to both scenarios.

It's an "or" situation. If you sell it for the $110 profit then you have nothing to trade in. Or if you trade in you have nothing sell.
