Great price for a LIDAR robot vacuum. Note, for those with mid to high pile carpet, do not get this. You should be looking at (assuming staying in the Roborock eco) S5, S5Max, S6, or S6MaxV

I'll be surprised this is any cheaper on Prime Day. Great for hard floors and low pile carpet.

I find the mop pointless. It just drags a wet rag all over your floor. No cleaning solution can be added

How does the suction compare to s5, s5 max or s6?

Note: Personally I'm waiting for self-washing solutions like Veniibot and Narwal to mature (they're buggy atm)

Look at Ecovacs T8(+ AIVI) with vibrating attachment and Shark AI VACMOP.

If you have the money, T8 is a beast of a unit with its navigation and the accessories (emptying bin and vibrating mop).
AI VACMOP now has LIDAR and apparently has one-upped the navigation of current contenders along with having vibrating mop. Looks impressive. There was a big sale for it recently at Kohls or Best Buy or somewhere for it, I can't remember.

Make sure to check Robot Masters review on YouTube for Shark's unit. And the T8+.
Note: I believe Robot Masters may have affiliate influenced bias (there are signs his lack of unfair bias has been compromised). He claims that Shark is the only unit with that kind of mop he has seen on the market, but clearly has known about T8's vibrating mop attachment for a long time now, and he gave a glowing review for Neabot with an affiliate coupon attached to his review, even though it's basically just a clone of Proscenic M7 Pro (sounds like in comments he is aware of this) and other reviews have shown serious limitations in the unit.
I'm still watching his videos to see if I see signs there is a reason for these things that can be explained. I originally gave the benefit of the doubt on the Neabot, but the observation on the Shark is a little bit strange. It doesn't seem reasonable that he would just not know about it, when he has specifically referred to it before.

Our community has rated this post as helpful. If you agree, why not thank

IMO, for $60 more, the S5 for $360 on a slickdeal is the better robovac by far versus the S4. Even forgetting the many features the S5 has over the S4 (20mm vs 15mm makes all the difference in the world for carpet cleaning as well as standing pads on tile), I've owned both and the S4 is not as well built as the S5. The S5 on the other hand has the same build quality as the S5 Max. But the S4 feels like a much cheaper version in quality (I've owned both and I know). The S4 also does not have the carpet boost auto detect that the S5 and S5 Max have. The only time I would recommend the $300 slickdeal S4 over the S5 $360 slickdeal is you have NO CARPET, and you will never want to use a robo mop, to save the extra $60.

The T8 does not come standard with a vibrating mop. It is an add-on attachment for $100 more. So we are talking at Amazon prices of $650+$100 vibrating mop+$250 for the auto-empty for $1000 total. Or the Best Buy deal that they recently have of $700+$100 or $800 for the cheapest deal. Now IMO having bought and tested the T8, Ecovacs app and software needs a lot of work to reach the quality of Roborock. For the price Ecovacs is asking ($800-$1000) for the T8 with vibrating mop and auto-empty, you'll be better off waiting for the 2021 Roborock models with vibrating mop. BTW, the ecovacs robomops also can NOT use any cleaners just like roborock. Just water.
