Does not work, "cannot be applied to your purchase", dead?

Same here... anyone have any ideas?
Did you Tap the "Apply code to your account" button? If so, the promo code was already attached to your account and it will reject the code applied at the end.
Via the instructions . "Tap the "Apply code to your account" button above OR enter the promotion code at checkout." "
To note: I only used the tap the button method, no insight as to why it might not work if you ONLY tried to enter the promo code at the end.

You should get this message at the very last stage of purchase, iirc "Congratulations on your Prime Day gift card purchase. Your purchase qualifies you for an Amazon.com credit. A $10 promotional credit will be automatically applied to your account and emailed to you within two(2)days after shipping."

I did click the "apply" button. I just figured it would show something at checkout. I guess I'll go ahead and buy it and then chat with Amazon if I don't get it in a couple days. Thanks!

I'm sure this has been mentioned, but..

The $10 is a "PROMOTIONAL CREDIT". This is not the same as a giftcard. The email you'll receive says that the $10 has been applied to your account. You will not see this in your running giftcard balance on your account. Additionally, you can only spend this $10 on items shipped&sold by Amazon. If the item you're buying is not, you will never even see the $10 on your account. Just some fine print I didn't see and bit me when trying to checkout for an item.

And I know this has been mentioned, but this $10 expires from your account on Nov 29.

lol Made my post, then saw yours directly above mine. Smilie
You will not see promotional credits until you order. I had $5 from Amazon CS and it showed last night when I ordered a tablet. I don't think it shows anywhere else though, although it should.

I also understand that any promotional credit you used to purchase item is NOT refundable. I had a sad situation where the item I ordered got lost and I did NOT get the promotional credit used to purchase that item back.

Did you click on the OP's link that takes you to the page that has the button "apply code to your account" https://slickdeals.net/?adobeRef=0314aa800e5911ebbc9e0640c0794e280001&pno=596897&lno=1&sdtid=1440461...
Absolutely.
I even cleared cookies, changed VPN servers, and reloaded attempting OP's (clicked through) a second time when it was plainly obvious
  1. I couldn't add a code, and
  2. this appeared to be an ordinary, non-promotional transaction/credit re-load

What I should have done from the start was T H I S [amazon.com] (where the Apply Code to Your Account (feature) would activate Promo, prior to reloading -- OP might consider amending post, for these aforementioned circumstances specifically).

So, I bought a gift card and sent to my email, but I have yet to receive the gift card and it's been over an hour. Anyone else having this problem? They usually arrive in a few minutes.

Just so you guys know, I did a $40 balance reload on the mobile site with no sort of confirmation on the checkout screen, and I received the promotional credit today. Don't worry.

You will get it if you clicked the yellow button to activate the offer before you reloaded. I was worried it wouldn't work, but it just came through.

That is the exact same link the OP gave and the one I replied with.

Did you not read the part where it says "Your $10 promotional credit will be applied to your account within two days after your qualifying Amazon.com Gift Card purchase is completed " but just about everyone is getting them exactly at the 1 day mark.
