Everyone keeps commenting about HDMI 2.1 because it's the new technology in the next generation of consoles but the actual real world use of this technology and gaming is years away. If you have any experience with PC gaming and see that not even the highest level Nvidia 2000 series GPUs can sustain a frame rate of 4K 120 there is absolutely no way consoles will be hitting that anytime soon and even then not consistently. The truth of the matter is in my opinion the Sony A8H will provide the best overall picture quality right here and now when you take into account upscaling of content. Gaming features that we won't see until a few years from now shouldn't be the determining factor right now. Just my two cents.
Sony XBR75X900H 75" X900H vs TCL 825 @1499.99? What should I do? I want 75 inch lcd vs OLED doesn't matter to me. Want to be around the 1500-2000 mark. Is the Sony better than the TCL? I've always been a Sony fan. Would be for gaming and movies / TV , audio doesn't matter I have home theater.

Trying to decide 77 cx or 75 900h.... any thoughts?
That's an odd comparison unless price is no object.
Overall 77 cx is by far the better choice, maybe with the exception for very bright rooms or you'll have static images present most of the time (news channels, tickers, etc)
Is there a link to a list of expected deals of BuyDig for next week where this deal was found? Curious if there may be similar deals for the LG CX line.
FWIW I emailed Sony about the eARC issues and included several forum links.
Here is their response:

The Sony will have better color reproduction, hands down. I recently compared side by side and the TCL went back immediately.
Ouch, Sorry to hear that 2Quik,
I couldn't tell but it sounds like this is an issue even if you are sending sound from the TV to an AV Receiver?
Originally it was from TV to AV but last week it was from the TV. I had to unplug my tv for 15 mins and got sound back. I tried to do a hard reset with the remote but that didn't work.

I have a 950G with no sound issues. Update your 950G to the 950H firmware....that seemed to fix it for a lot of people and basically make your 950G a 950H (same internals)
From my searches it appears that a lot of people have this issue with this TV. Guess you are one of the lucky ones that don't have the issue. I haven't hear of upgrading from 950G to 950H, do you have a link with the reference?
