I want to buy a hoverboard. Is this a good deal? There are so many models and it is hard to compare them. For example, Walmart has Hover-1 Turbo Hoverboard for $99, very similar specifications.

I saw that too, The Wal Mart one has a 160lb capacity and the Best Buy one has a 220 lb capacity,

I do know that the wal mart one has a 160 load capacity and the bestbuy one has 220

Its just hard to say. I bought 5 different models last christmas so we could pick the best of the bunch. They were all Hover-1 branded and many were same model name "all-star" but model numbers were different, specs were different (like weight capacity and range), price was different. After trying them all, no two were similar. They all used different chargers with very different voltages ranging from 20v to 50v. Different connectors as well. They all had identical hardware inside though, same motors, wheels, batteries and circut boards afaik. That said, performance was very different on all. Some were very smooth and easy (even boaring) for beginners while others would spin so fast my son, who is very good, could not stay on it even on his knees at full speed spinning. One of them was defective and would violently assault anyone who dared touch it by randomly jolting into a lunatic hyperdrive spinning at extremely high speeds way beyond their designed limits and effective became like an unrestrained lawnmower blade wondering around the area destroying anything in its path without and good way to subdue it... in the end, They all made great donors of powerful hub motors for other great projects . So, I do recommend them, but cant begin to tell you what to expect.

Has anyone that bought this gotten the app to work for changing the lights? All it does when we ride it is blink blue lights no matter what I try. It's annoying. Everything else works fine. Also, be super careful with the charging port. It will break easily with rough handling.

Did you ever figure how to solve the blinking blue problem. We are having the same problem. Otherwise the hover board is great

Best buy one has Premium bluetooth speakers in it. Walmart one doesn't has that.
