Ordered this when it went for pre-order an 9-18 and should be getting it tomorrow. It's a decent deal since most people will buy the elite strap anyway.

I got mine on Wednesday. Haven't messed with the fit pack yet, just put the elite strap on first thing and started playing. So far it's a hit, the kids love beat saber. I'm having fun with super hot and thrill of the fight. I'd recommend it to anyone interested in vr.

Got mine and after two days with the strap in the box I ran out to Walmart and got the Elite strap, it is lightyears better so I highly recommend! I wish the Elite came with the unit but whatever. Only problem I'm having is the actual graphics of the Quest 2 are a little blurry for me. I've messed with the lens settings and #2 is the "best" but still blurry. I'll have to see if it gets better or sadly I'll return it

I got this bundle and I found the elite strap super uncomfortable. Going to use the default til a good 3rd party one is released. The fit pack is meh as well. Not worth the 40 they list it as.

I bought this headset twice (64GB from Amazon and 256GB from Costco). I'm going to go with 64 GB for now and buy another 64gb headset for friends & family to try. The old Quest would be tolerable as a pc-tethered device, but the slow refresh and uncomfortable head strap makes me want to sell it to invest in other VR equipment (another headset for multiplayer, haptics vest, yaw VR chair, racing wheel, HOTAS, etc.).

Why go with the 64GB for Quest 2? A couple reasons:

1) I don't go on long trips away from WiFi and I can reload games I might want to re-experience.

2) Looking at the big picture, the 256gb storage doesn't seem necessary at this stage of mobile-VR software. It's not the golden age of VR yet. Maybe in a couple years. For now, the games needing many GBs storage that I enjoy are mostly available on PC-VR (i.e. Half-life: Alyx, Star Wars: Squadrons, or Project Cars 2). So my PC storage is sufficient, and the headset doesn't need that much onboard storage for the mobile/Quest-platform experiences (Beat Saber, Tilt Brush, Horizons, etc.).

Don't buy this crap. It forces you to have a facebook account and facebooks has been canceling accounts.

  • Requires a Facebook account (no exceptions, no grandfathering)
  • If you use a false identity it will be banned
  • If the Facebook account is banned for any reason (inc. break-ins) you'll lose all of your purchases (and access to your Quest 2)
  • Support doesn't exist for the Facebook account side, meaning if you get banned you'll just get automated responses. No human will ever read your "appeals."
There are multiple people on the Quest subreddit that already have run into these exact issues, some with an entire Quest 1's worth of games. If you want to spend $400+ on this and then hundreds more on games, then make sure you understand the level of risk you're taking.

I own a Quest (1) and it is freaking fantastic. I'd be their core demographic for Quest 2, but this thing is radioactive with all the Facebook account-related problems, so my Quest (1) will be my last Oculus branded device unfortunately.
