Contrary to what some reps are telling people...
If you currently already have recurring device credits from another promo, you can take advantage of this deal, but PLEASE pay off your EIP first.
Once your EIP is paid, your line-level device credit will continue as an Account-Level credit, freeing your line up to take advantage of another EIP promo.

Just upgraded my iphone 6 plus on my 55+ plan. The EIP agreement shows $215 trade in value. 30 months term. So, yes, 55+ plan is eligible for trade in.

I think that loophole has been over for a few years now.
edit, never mind, I think you are asking if once it is unlocked if you can use verizon service on it. I guess it would depend on apple and how they are making them
