Hover-1 is bad quality. I bought hover boards and the hover-1 pioneer scooter (similar to this one) from them last holiday. Neither lasted 6 months.
Out of the box, the scooter intertube had a slow leak. Hover-1 said it wasn't covered under the warranty. I tried to exchange at Walmart but they didn't have any in stock. I ended up buying an intertube from Amazon, but replacing it was a pain.
Next, The post broke (weak welds) after a few months of normal use. Turns out hover-1 only offers a 90day warranty. They also stopped carrying replacement parts for it since it was discontinued.
Luckily I opted for the Walmart protection plan and they reimbursed me partially for the broken scooter.
for this price, I got it. if its 80% of what its stated specs are it will suit me just fine. Its interesting they call it the dynamo, because the dynamo name is already used for another buggy type product in their lineup.
Do not buy, these break in half at The handlebar welding area. I had two of them, had to take them to a special welder to fix them , very dangerous stay away from hover one
I am somewhat in the middle on these Hover 1 scooters. But here's what you need to know about them: Whether or not you get a lemon, their customer service is completely non-existent. No phone number, no email and the "Contact Us" gets nothing. The only way I've heard folks get anything done is by filing with BBB. The complaints fill the Facebook page of Journey and Pioneer users: https://www.facebook.com/groups/562922267894592 Also, the build quality is irregular. You should slime the tire because they do puncture easily. But sometimes extricating the valve to actually fill it with slime or even air is a massive task. That said, the Hover Pioneer is an almost exact copy of the Xiaomi M365 and people have successfully modded it with batteries from that scooter.

They aren't allowing the option of the protection plan now..
Bought 2 of these at Christmas and 1 has already crapped out. TBF my kids are hard on their toys but it barely lasted 6 months.... also the one that is still working doesn't run as fast as it once did.😐
Bought THREE of the Hover 1 Pioneer last year for $99 for my kids. One failed after a few weeks and was replaced by Hover. The other 2 have cracked complete at the weld in the up-bar making them super dangerous and useless. I would NEVER buy another Hover product. Complete garbage. Stay away.
EDIT: I see that I am not the only one who has had the welds break. Someone could be seriously hurt if this happens while riding or on a downhill.

I have the Xiaomi M365. The Hover is a BAD copy of it. The tubes are both smaller diameter and thinner. The "neck" is much less "beefy" on the Hover, maybe that is why the welds break there. DO NOT buy this.

Could you explain exactly where your weld broke? Was it at the fold joint on the pioneer? Or was it actually the top handle bar area? Just wondering what to watch for. I have one and have no problems so far. But being aware is also good. Thanks.
For reference, I ride the Hover-1 Pioneer at max weight capacity 250-260lbs
It will go 15mph but only half the rate mileage.
Also, slime both tires as soon as you get it. I popped one in the first month and had to go tubeless on one of the tires.
Have this same one and one of the tires is popped. I'm not a big fan of the scooter overall. Weld broke on the top bar, the brakes squeak, the battery life isn't great, super sluggish going up any decent incline, etc.
