If you are not a heavy data user, say less than 3GB monthly, major savings are available. I was with Verizon and all the costs just kept adding up. Monthly fee, line fee, 911, taxes, regulatory, on and on....

Is Xfinity right for everyone, no. Is it right for savers who don't use a phone constantly for streaming, for video, for online gaming, for regular Google mapping; yes it is.

My monthly bill is between $16 and $28, just depends on data usage. Locations I had a problem with Verizon service are the same locations I have problems with Xfinity, but those are very, very few.

My Verizon bill, no matter what was around 60 per line. Don't need to pay all that money to pad someone else's pockets.

Look at your monthly data avg., to see what makes cents and dollars.

Are there any Mint Mobile users? Should we go with AT&T, T-Mobile, or Xfinity iPhone 12 deals?

I'm thinking to get either iPhone 12 or iPhone 12 Pro.

I am. However, my phone is carrier free I mean for any carrier such as Verizon or Sprint (CDMA). If yours is for only GSM, you should stay with AT&T, T-Mobile and such.

I am also carrier free. Am using an iPhone 6 plus from 2014!!! And have been with Mint Mobile for many years.

Would you recommend getting the deal from AT&T, T-mobile, or Xfinity? All of them are having iPhone 12 deals right now.

Depends on how many lines you plan to add and how much data you need.

Mint mobile is T-Mobile, so you won't qualify for the best promo through them.

I chatted with customer representative and here's my understanding to be eligible for $250 master card:
  1. Phone must be purchased only via Device Payment Plan i.e. 24 months EMI and Port In from other carrier. Full payment is not eligible for promotion.
  2. Mobile phone can be unlocked after 2 months and one can terminate mobile service after 60 days but the Device Payment Plan should continue on the Xfinity account.
  3. If customer closes Xfinity account (internet service) prior to 24 months (till Device Payment Plan finishes), the customer won't get benefits of promotion. In such case, $250 will be deducted/charged at account closing time.
This deal is slick for users who are guaranteed to stick with XFinity account for 2 more years.
For everyone else hoping to get quick connection and unlock may not be able to get full advantage.
--> if anyone in NYC,NJ is planning to get the deal and is assured to stay with xfinity for 2 years, can they offer me 1 line for extra fee.
Thanks! This is all I needed to know.

For new cellular customers with existing Xfinity internet, it sounds like we will be getting bill credits, which is a bummer.

How about we sign up today with BYOD, activate SIM card when it arrives in the mail, then order the iphone12 as a current customer and get a $250 rebate card instead?

Do you think this will work?

Ask your brother to buy phone for you. Phone and connection must be on his name. He will need to present photo id in store to authenticate account details or purchase via his account online.
One caveat, phone will only be shipped to his home address. No way of editing shipping address.

Code:
1. It's not bill credits, but rather monthly installments that you have to pay to xfinity.
2. If u buy sim with byod plan, will u get any promotion Discount? If so, then what's the point of ordering iphone at full price.
3. If u meant to get promotion via iPhone purchase you still have to purchase with device payment plan for 24 continuous month.
EDIT:
Seems for existing customers rules are different and that's causing confusion. But it's worth talking to customer rep with this idea.

What about existing Xfinity Internet and Mobile customers? They also need to go through device payment plan for 24 months? If so it's really a bummer.

I've been using xm as my main carrier since they released xm when they were basically giving out money. I was also testing out tons of different mvno when I was not using xfinity as my home internet, but none of their coverage was anything close to xfinity mobile. If you are using xfinity in your home, I really don't see why you wouldn't use xfinity mobile unless you are that person who really don't wanna see that XM on the left corner of your iphone.

Thanks for responding!

I'm only looking for 1 line with around 1 GB of data each month.
