If you are not a heavy data user, say less than 3GB monthly, major savings are available. I was with Verizon and all the costs just kept adding up. Monthly fee, line fee, 911, taxes, regulatory, on and on....

Is Xfinity right for everyone, no. Is it right for savers who don't use a phone constantly for streaming, for video, for online gaming, for regular Google mapping; yes it is.

My monthly bill is between $16 and $28, just depends on data usage. Locations I had a problem with Verizon service are the same locations I have problems with Xfinity, but those are very, very few.

My Verizon bill, no matter what was around 60 per line. Don't need to pay all that money to pad someone else's pockets.

Look at your monthly data avg., to see what makes cents and dollars.

I don't see a link for the iPhone 12 mini in the offer. Is the mini available for the $250 rebate?

It's called "internet essentials" from Comcast/Xfinity. It's only 25Mbps for $9.95. No contract.
I stream 4k movies pretty heavily on top of laptops, phones, smart speakers etc. running and it does just fine for my needs. On a tight budget as a student, you should look into it. If you arent aware, Amazon also offers students a discount on its Prime service. Save where you can! Good luck. Hope this helps.
So do you qualify for xfinity mobile with this essentials plan? How much is your total bill each month including any rental fees?

I am currently with Tmobile and we have 4 people all using little data (2gb each line). We all use Samsung phones. If we can get them unlocked by tmobile, is it a good idea to use these phones on Xfinity mobile since they may not have CDMA bands on them?

One of the phone was bought from Samsung as an unlocked phone. Would I need to factory reset it since it was used on Tmobile and may have only tmobile bands?

Mini is not available for pre-order yet, until Nov. 6th I believe. Deal is good until Jan 4th, so you have plenty of time to take advantage of this offer.

FWIW, I am an existing customer and tried to add a New line (paid in full), but it did not offer me the $250 rebate card. I do get the offer on the final checkout pages if I upgrade an existing line (paid in full).

for someone that has been a verizon subscriber for the last 20 years, and happy with their service, what are the pros and cons switching to Xfinity mobile? I understand they use the same vzw towers? So thinking speeds and reception should be the same?

Curious to know if anyone from vzw switched to here, and their thoughts.
VZW vs Xfin

Top end speed on xfin is slower (i currently get about 25mbps on lte, i think i got up to 50 on VZW)
mvnos tend to be squeezed during congestion in favor of original carrier

That is what they told me in chat and on the phone. Going to an xfinity store this afternoon to try it.

I just upgraded 2 paid-off phones to the new iPhone 12, also paid in full. The $250 prepaid card doesn't show up in the initial order screen, but it shows up on your final confirmation screen.
Thanks for sharing. Just to clarify:

Were you an existing Xfinity customer?

Did you trade in your existing phones? If so, how did you find the trade in value? All I see is "take it to a store for appraisal.l"

I'm not a current customer so trying to get two new lines with two iPhone 12s and get the $250 without monthly credits.

Thanks again

I have been a xfinity customer for over an year. Excellent service; my only complaint is that there is no way you can cap data at 1GB. If you exceed by accident you'll be charged $15 for every 1GB.

About how much for their taxes and fees?
Not much, my last bill for five lines was $17.32

$12 for the plan, so only $5.32 for taxes/fee, about a buck per line.

Spread out if you are a new customer. Prepaid if you are an existing customer.
