If you are not a heavy data user, say less than 3GB monthly, major savings are available. I was with Verizon and all the costs just kept adding up. Monthly fee, line fee, 911, taxes, regulatory, on and on....

Is Xfinity right for everyone, no. Is it right for savers who don't use a phone constantly for streaming, for video, for online gaming, for regular Google mapping; yes it is.

My monthly bill is between $16 and $28, just depends on data usage. Locations I had a problem with Verizon service are the same locations I have problems with Xfinity, but those are very, very few.

My Verizon bill, no matter what was around 60 per line. Don't need to pay all that money to pad someone else's pockets.

Look at your monthly data avg., to see what makes cents and dollars.

for new customers, is this $250 discount instant during purchase.
Offer details seem to say, $250 is paid in device credits over 24 months.
Please share your thought on this.

Thank you.
For new customers, its only thru 24 month credit that you can get the $250 off.

I paid in full with my Chase Reserve to extend the warranty by one year. Also covers theft or loss for a few months. Check your card to see if there are benefits. AMEX and Chase annual fee cards usually have certain protections

Lots of speculation/misinformation in this thread around BYOD and upgrade, so here's my first hand experience.
1. I did not have any Xfinity mobile line before. I ported my number into xfinity mobile and chose BYOD on my existing galaxy s8.
2. After activating my old phone, the $25 BYOD gift card showed up in xfinity rewards.
3. Next day, I requested and upgrade the s8 to iphone 12, pay via installments. Order went through, and saw the $250 card in cart.
4. Got the Iphone 12 in about a week. But the $250 gift card did not show up in xfinity rewards.
5. Yesterday my first billing cycle ended. Today I see the $250 GC in xfinity rewards.

Moral of the story?
- You can stack BYOD and iPhone GC
- You can upgrade immediately after activating BYOD.
- iPhone does not need to be paid in full to get GC. Monthly payment works fine.

not too bad for $275 off without trade in.

Wow! Great information. Thanks for sharing. All looks fine but I thought 250GC is with full payment. This is something new. I'm also planning for same approach. Got the number ported yesterday through BYOD. Will do upgrade as next step.

I have xfinity mobile line. I am using iphone11. I want to use this $250 off of upgrade deal. Which phone will have more resell value iphone SE/iphone XR. I want to take this phone on installment plan. Once i get gift card and phone unlocked, i want to sell this phone in open market. Eventually i am buying iphone SE 64Gb for $150 or iphone XR for $250. When I sell, do they value this much in open market.

Will they still send the GC once it shows up in rewards if I end up closing the Xfinity Internet account?

I did. The status site updated this morning to "We've got great news! You've completed all the necessary requirements to qualify for your $250 Prepaid Card for 1 Apple device. You can expect your reward within 2-4 weeks."

Is this deal still good on the iphone SE? Not it shows getting the SE for free with 24 month's worth of bill credits but you have to transfer in a number. Some kind of Black Friday sale until 12/7. I was thinking about doing the upgrade with the $250 gc. Maybe that'll come back when this deal is over?

Anyone know?

Thanks,

-Guru

Are you able to share how to come up with a spare number? There is the $399 iphone SE on us deal right now.
