If you are not a heavy data user, say less than 3GB monthly, major savings are available. I was with Verizon and all the costs just kept adding up. Monthly fee, line fee, 911, taxes, regulatory, on and on....

Is Xfinity right for everyone, no. Is it right for savers who don't use a phone constantly for streaming, for video, for online gaming, for regular Google mapping; yes it is.

My monthly bill is between $16 and $28, just depends on data usage. Locations I had a problem with Verizon service are the same locations I have problems with Xfinity, but those are very, very few.

My Verizon bill, no matter what was around 60 per line. Don't need to pay all that money to pad someone else's pockets.

Look at your monthly data avg., to see what makes cents and dollars.

You ordered the mini pretty early. Have you received it?


I ordered on the 13th with an estimated ship date of Dec. 4th (today). I just checked the status and it still has not shipped.

A lot of great information in this thread but it is a bit overwhelming so I am gonna post my question and hopefully somebody can answer or point me in the right direction.

Basically what I would like to do is take advantage of this deal, pay the phone off in full immediately, get the new phone unlocked and send it to a family member in another country.

I have been with Xfinity mobile about 100 days. I know I would have to activate the new phone on my current account but the question is once activated can I immediately request the phone to be unlocked, get it unlocked and then switch back to my old phone while I send the new phone to family . . . or is there a 60 day period that the new phone has to be on the account and activated before they honor the unlock request. Family needs this phone immediately as their old iphone crapped out on them.

I ask this because I would like them to get the new phone but I currently am using an Iphone XR in great condition that would be easier to just try to sell them that phone and keep the new phone but it would be great to know my options.

Thanks in advance for any advice

In my experience, YES, you can get it unlocked if it's paid in full.

When I first requested unlock via chat, my request was declined. The reason given was the phone needs to be active for 60 days and I only had mine for < 30 days. But someone in this thread reported that he/she was able to successfully unlock their phone through a phone call. So, I immediately called XM and the agent processed the unlock request without any hiccups. And the phone was completely unlocked within the next 24 hours.

That's what I was planning to do with my phone. 1) get the paid in full phone unlocked right away and use it on my current carrier; 2) let the XM line sit for 60 days so that the $250 rebate card will process.

If you were not able to see your $250 GC in the reward center after your 1st billing cycle, use chat and ask them to submit a ticket to the reward center. One week after submitting the ticket, I saw the GC in the reward center and the status is approved. Not every customer service staff know how to do that. I tried it today to get my $50 byod GC and it did not work. They said they *can not* submit a ticket because they were not the reward center and they only know about xfinity mobile. Just end chat with them and find another person who can help.

Thank you for your post. I have been unable to see my reward for weeks and kept thinking they needed more time. Turns out I can't see my reward when I lookup with my phone number, but I can with my account number. Here are the steps in hopes this will help someone.

1. In the Xfinity Mobile App, tap Support
2. Tap "Is there anything I can help you with today
3. Type in "Missing reward"
4. The bot responded with:

"You can check the status of your reward using the Xfinity Reward Center below. You'll need to enter your account number or billing address. Your account number is (16 digital account # here)."

5. Copy that account number
6. Go to https://xfinityrewardcenter.com/
7. Tap Status Lookup and enter your 16 digit account number at the bottom.


Here are my reward results:

Order Date: 11/6/20
Reward Amount: Prepaid Card Reward
Offer Description: Q420 Apple $250 Upgrade Offer

They use Verizon network, pretty good!
My bill for one line with one gig was around $17 and then I added another line and it was $18-19 for two lines sharing a gig. I really can not find a better deal than this to keep both lines.

Do you have Xfinity internet, phone, and/or tv already? If you have none of those, your Xfinity Mobile bill will be a minimum of $35 per month ($15 for 1GB and $20 surcharge for not having an existing Xfinity service).

I'd highly recommend Red Pocket on CDMAV (Verizon's network). You can get 8GB data for $17.50/month. Or Visible (uses Verizon's network as well) for $25/month with unlimited data.
