There may be those who disagree, but back in 1996-1997 my wife and I rented Lonestar on three separate occasions, because the write up on the CD case made it sound great, but we couldn't get past the first 20 minutes on the second and third attempts, and the movie was so forgettable that despite having forced ourselves to watch it all the way through the first time, we had no idea that we had watched it before.

This was a great story
But is it great enough to make it into a movie ?

Absolutely!
Not only good enough, but like I said before, one of my favorite movies of all time.
