  • For trade-ins, you'll receive two different trade-in credits — one from Apple and one from T‑Mobile/Sprint.
  • When you trade in with Apple, you'll get an estimated trade-in value. If you pay monthly, that value will be applied as an instant credit to lower your monthly payments. If you pay in full, your payment method will be credited after your trade-in is received.
  • Pre-Paid Mastercard expires 6-months from time of issuance.
  • Lines must be active and in good standing when card is issued. Allow up to 2 weeks after fulfillment of offer requirements.

Absolutely no reason to do this deal if you are a long time Tmo customer and don't plan on going anywhere. Here's why:

1) Going directly with T-mobile, using the iPhone 8 as a trade in will net you $415 off instead of Apple $140 + $150 Rebate Card. $415 vs $290. No brainer. Granted the Tmo deal is bill credits, but if your staying with Tmobile, who cares.

2) If you don't want Bill credits, BE PATIENT. Costco will have an offer soon if they don't have one already that will usually mirror T-Mobiles direct offer except with a prepaid card instead. Will beat Apple's crappy offer.
That's not the case with everyone. I traded in my iphone xs max for $370 +$150 = $520. Plus apple is offering an extra instant $30 off for t-mobile users. So it's in $799 instead of $829.

Never bought from Apple before with a trade-in. So I'm assuming there's a button that allows you to put your trade in device and then the checkout cart will reflect an instant credit towards your purchase?

The deal goes live at 8 am ET on apple.com so you can check in a few minutes but generally they ask if you have a trade-in and if you do, they tell you how much value you will get for it.

Thanks, and also why does your title say $829 if its a $150 discount? What am I missing?

I am gonna guess when the site comes back up that the value of the phones will be cut on trade in.

I stand corrected! If you are Sprint customer, you ARE eligible.
