I have the previous generation of this laptop and it's been great. I'll likely buy this on 10/28. The only thing I really don't like are the number keys. I'm happy with the 16GB memory but it can be upgraded to 40GB if you really need it. 8GB is soldered in. The other 8GB is removable and upgradable. There are two SSD slots and they both support NVME. I added a second Samsung fast SSD. This laptop is fast, has a great display, and the battery life is outstanding. Unless one is a hard core gamer or you need a touch display there is nothing that comes close to the weight/performance value offered by this machine.
As always with Costco, you get 2 years of warranty coverage plus 90 days to return. If you have an executive account, you earn 2%. With the Costco Visa card, you get an additional 2% plus 2 more years of warranty coverage.
From previous experiences Costco doesn't really do price adjustments that often. They usually have me return/rebuy for the discount. I don't know if that would be the same for the laptop.

Are you returning and rebuying the same (potentially used?) item when you do it? Costco still accepts returns on used electronics within 90 days? Dang, but if that's the only route, I'll let them know. If you're returning your old item and repurchasing the same item (new) at the lower cost, that seems like a waste on Costco's end, now they're stuck with a used item, instead of just adjusting the price.

Also to OP, where did you find out about this? Is there a new Costco savings book out?
There's a PDF posted on sd about the upcoming sale

Correct, only the smaller screens have touch.
Actually the non Costco 17" version does have a touch screen. I don't understand why Costco sells the same thing without a touch screen

I've had this computer for about 8 months now. I paid $1250 for it. It is a fantastic laptop. I don't game so works well for me. Only negative is in bright sunlight the screen can be hard to see. I haven't even added more RAM yet. Hard drive is a bit small, but I store movies etc. elsewhere. If you just want a well built, decently fast, quality laptop, this is it.

Could you link to that? Pretty sure it doesn't. I have the 2019 version and it does not have touch, this is a link to the 2020 on LG's site with no mention of touch screen.

I would be surprised if you could upgrade the ram. These light ultra slim models usually have it soldered in.

I have the 2019 version and there's an extra slot to add RAM, the stock one is soldered in. There's also an extra M.2 slot. Don't believe that changed for the 2020 model. you can have a max of 40 GB RAM on this, which seems overkill.

If you can hold out a couple months LG will likely be putting theTiger Lake Gen 11 processor in these which has a faster processor and graphic gpu. Not a huge performance bump, but they both are improved in the new chips.

Why bother spending a few more hundred if it's not a significant performance bump? It's not going to go for $1099.99.

What's the most ram this can accommodate? What's the most NVMe per slot it can handle? How fast does it charge on USB-C?

Yes they have great CS but they aren't a registered charity.
You're acting like I'm trying to get a price adjustment on a 10 year old laptop. Costco offers a 90 day return policy on electronics, so it doesn't make that much sense not to do a price adjustment when someone can just return and rebuy, which is the other option individuals in here have brought up.
