Why the downvotes? Y'all splooge when someone were to post a Ring Fit or the latest Mario game in stock somewhere, anywhere. But haven't these have been few and far between new and then scalped on FB marketplace sice COVID hit?

Definitely resellers or people who have no comprehension of supply and demand. Yes these have sold for far less in the past, but home workout equipment is obviously in record demand.

We're all very proud of you for getting these on clearance, but there was this little incident with bats earlier this year that made everyone want to work out at home and disrupted the supply chain. You could probably find a video on youtube that explains basic economics.

these were $40 at one point? hot damn. I would've picked a set up even before covid things.

I think the best I've ever seen for weights was like a guy selling free weights for a nickel/pound out of his garage... It might have been a quarter a pound? Either way, it was also like 20 years ago and it was not these, so I call shenanigans on getting a set of these for $40

Like all Walmart clearance deals, extremely YMMV. My Walmart only dropped it to as low as $90. $350 can be a slick deal if the purchaser does plan on making good use of the set. I know this is a deal site but if there is one thing you should never put after price it is one's health.

Certain Walmart's had the 552's on clearance back at the end of 11/19. I got a set for $30 each along with the stand for $30, and the bench for $35. It was a once in a lifetime deal if you found a Walmart that had them clearance priced & in stock, but it did happen & many here on SD replicated the deal.

So I've been searching for these dumbbells on the secondary market and they were $475-550 ish. That was a few months ago.

Now it seems the retails stores are coming back in stock cause the black market prices are dipping down to 425-500
