Spoke with Sam's Club customer service about 2 weeks ago. Told your membership must be expired for 6 months before considered a "new" member sign up.

However, if someone else signs up as a new member then you can be their complimentary member no matter how long ago your membership expired.

I have both Costco and Sam's. I always get this Sam's deal. It always comes out free with deals like these. After going to Sam's and Costco's for 10+ years I have found some items at Sam's that I can't find at Costco. If I could only choose 1 membership it would probably be Costco but I really like Sam's too. I love the scan and go at Sam's. It really beats out having to wait in checkout to pay. Also the hotdogs are way better at Sam's lol.

Do you need a more compelling reason than free?

Hey any idea if they have free shipping with this membership for online shopping or they charge shipping fee?

Is this offer verified as eligible at Sam's Club locations in Puerto Rico? Hawaii? Thanks.

This is free, like buy one get one free. You aren't walking away without spending $45 that you won't get back in your wallet. You are saving 50% on a couple of purchases

No comparison. Costco carry ONLY good products, and if you feel something you bought is not, just return it even after you eat it. No question will be asked. So practically, everything you buy at Costco, it will end up being a good product.

When do you get the $45? Do you have to go to customer service or is it loaded on to your account/or emailed?
The terms say its loaded onto your account within 72 hours but it should be almost instant. I signed up with the offer online yesterday at 11am and went to the club at 2pm the same day. Picked up a membership card at membership counter and asked about the $45 credit and she had no clue, she thought it was supposed to be emailed to me as an e-gift card (older promotion). I shopped and picked up $50 worth of items and went to checkout and it automatically deducted $45 at the end of checkout.

I'm pretty sure it's loaded onto your account if things haven't changed since last time. After you purchase your membership for $45, you usually get a $45 off offer that's associated with your account. Last year when they had this offer, I spent $80 something a week and it automatically took off $45. The terms and condition says you have to do this within 60 days of purchasing a membership.

I've gotten some bad stuff at Costco. For example, they had some Turkey Jerky that tasted like shoe leather (smelled like it too), and I had kept it in my fridge and kind of forgot about returning it. When I did find it, it was just past expiration and I took it back, they argued with me about it, saying "it's expired, we can't take it back". I told them I had not returned any food items in at least four years, but this one was bad from the get-go and I wanted a refund. There's absolutely nothing in their policy that says if something is expired, you can't bring it back. They made that one up on the spot. Finally, the manager came and gave my money back, but not without a hassle. So yes, they can and WILL ask questions! And refuse to take something back, regardless of what their refund policy says "refund if not satisfied". Well, I wasn't satisfied, and they didn't want to give me a refund.

By the way, Sam's policy on returns is the same as Costco, there's no advantage with either store, as far as that goes. Return anything (exc. electronics/PCs) anytime for a full refund.

I need to pick up a Jeep car battery. Several Costco's near me do not carry the model for my Jeep. Sams club has this. Any idea if I can use the $45 offer off the cost of the battery?

I went through Dosh and got $20 back instantly and didn't even notice banner. I hope I get. Chatted with Sam's and said to check back in 72 hours and they will verify.

He didn't know how to view it in app since it is more of a coupon. Anyone know how to view in app/website?

I'm curious what those items are.
Off the top of my head, you can buy the milk by the gallon instead of a 2 pack. Sometimes I only need 1 gallon. Also the half and half creamer has the re closable twist top. Costco only has the old school carton that opens like the milk cartons from school which causes to go bad quicker

Costco has self checkout now. Not as simple as scan and go but at least it's better than waiting in long lines at the counter.

No Costco here in Arkansas.
Home to Walmart and Sams.
