Everything else if you calculate out the cost / oz or unit, it comes out to almost the same (or usually higher) than the grocery store which is usually in a much more manageable quantity.
Also, they've been switching more and more food items to their "Member's Mark" brand or whatever, which never tastes as good as the name brand it replaced, but they feel they can charge the same price for it...
On a plus side, when traveling Sam's usually has the cheapest fuel and there is usually one near an Interstate. There are also some freebie perks at the tire shop (free flat repair).
I will always get a free membership just to have... There are also no Costco's anywhere near here...
