Anybody know the box dimensions?
onn. 42" Class FHD (1080P) LED Roku Smart TV [walmart.com] will be $88 on Nov 4th too.
The model seems to almost identical to Hisense H6570G: https://www.rtings.com/tv/reviews/hisense/h6570g
Now that the sale is over, Walmart has taken down the original link.

This appears to be a slight older Hisense H6570F model while the BlackFriday model is H6570G. The newer H6570G has better upscaling and Chroma 4:4:4 for computer usage.

I own a 65in LG OLED, and a 55in Samsung Q80R.... Both last year's top TVs for price and performance... And I still use the Hisense 65in I got last year for $240 and I have no issue with the 50in ONN I bought for $100 as well.
Budget 4K are pretty damn good from Septre, ONN and the like... People praise TCL and forget people talked trash about them as well... Same thing for Vizio.
Even more interesting is a lot of budget sets use 2nd tier Samsung VA panels that actually look better than the entry level LGs with poor contrast.

I returned a TCL 3 series 32"er before I got the Onn. The Onn seems to be about the same as the TCL, but $19 or so less.
My 32" Onn appears to have been made by Element. It says "Assembled in USA" (or something like that) on the box and the include paperwork basically says to contact Element if warranty assistance is needed.
Anywho.. This is Walmart specific brand I think and price can't be beat
Hisense bought the Sharp name a few years back, but may have lost the name. They sponsored the 2018 World Cup... I'm guessing quality only going to get better, but you can't beat these 4k smart TVs for the money, even if they last only 4-5 years. (Who knows how long with so much of them cheap plastic and led backlighting). I still have Panasonic plasmas with glass screens....they weight a ton in comparison, but have much more structure.

I would go with Picture Quality and probably not worry about build as you might not be handling the TV physically that much...

And those who say youll be replacing your tv in a year lol. Then if that happens, you got the amount of time the TV was worth--but that is not likely to happen as many of these no name cheap brand TVs last for years. Sure you hear a few horror stories, but you dont hear the HUNDREDS maybe THOUSANDS of sets that are fine.
Heck, if it breaks in 2-3 years after heavy use, that means I got my money's worth and in 2-3 years, they will be selling 85" 4K 120hz native smart TVs for $228.
I have a crappy westinghouse 4K TV from 2 years ago 55" 4K smart TV that was like $228 as well, and there is no reason for me to replace it because it works fine but deep down im hoping it breaks so i can get this as a replacement because I got my money's worth.
This is a great f-ing deal if you need a TV now, dont care about brand or all the mumbo jumbo quality numbers the nerds here try to shove down your throat and them trying to persuade you to join them since they paid 2, 3, 4, 5, 6x more for their set and want to feel good that their TV that cost more is so much better. Many of those same people buy those expensive sets and only using the tv speakers or a sound bar lol. Only take av geeks who run a true av receiver setup with their properly calibrated OLED tv seriously. But at the same time those guys dont seem to settle for anything less. So as someone who falls in between, buy this tv if you need one
Just got an Onn brand a few weeks ago. TBD on longevity but my experience says TCL isn't worth the few extra dollars. If you are shopping the budget lines, get the cheapest.
good perspective. I bought a $1000 46" samsung lcd tv back in 2009. Just crapped out on me a few months ago, so it's lasted around 10 years. would be a $50 gamble to fix it, so i've opted not to take that chance. i purchased a 55" Sharp 4k tv last BF for only $199 for my parents. Terrible picture quality in terms of what i see on over the air channels, but absolutely decent if not excellent when watching netflix/hulu/etc. kinda weird. well worth the price if you ask me. i'm the kind of person that tries to steer clear of non major brands but the $199 was too good to pass up. i kinda regret not getting another for myself as i have a beater 46" samsung (circa 2019) with excellent picture quality but requires me to wiggle the coax cable upon start up in order to remove the vertical color banding and lines on it. i'm still on the fence with this 65" onn, which looks to be made by hisense from another poster earlier in this thread (nover pay, post #40 https://slickdeals.net/forums/showpost.php?p=
what is the consensus on how much a brand name 65" 4k smart tv for this BF? i guess for non brand name, we arent going to beat this $228 Onn.
does the onn branded TV change channels fairly quick, or is there a large delay when changing channels?
This 65" TV is likely to be substandard in several ways, particularly the picture and sound. But, to me, the worst thing is when you get a set-up menu that only allows the most basic of adjustments. Cheap screen + lousy set-up menu = lousy picture, and no options to make it better.
Bottom line... for a living room TV that you will watch most of your entertainment content, this 65" ONN will surely disappoint. Spend a little more on Black Friday and get a better quality TV.
