Always the people that need to justify their money spent in these listings.

I own a 65in LG OLED, and a 55in Samsung Q80R.... Both last year's top TVs for price and performance... And I still use the Hisense 65in I got last year for $240 and I have no issue with the 50in ONN I bought for $100 as well.

Budget 4K are pretty damn good from Septre, ONN and the like... People praise TCL and forget people talked trash about them as well... Same thing for Vizio.

Even more interesting is a lot of budget sets use 2nd tier Samsung VA panels that actually look better than the entry level LGs with poor contrast.

man... $228 for a full array led 4k 65" TV shipped free. Imagine seeing these deals 10 years ago, you'd hardly believe it.

diaper—How about the TCL at Target for $228 is it better?
The TCL is better yes.

If you look at the specs, you can clearly see HDR10 is supported (unlike Walmart). TCL doesn't pay for Dolby certification like Hisense but you do get the competing format HDR10, which is fine.

Full specs here:
https://www.tcl.com/us/en/product...-tv-65s434

For audio, Dolby Digital Plus but the speakers are both 8W.

Another thing I just noticed is the Onn doesn't support Bluetooth either like the Hisense and TCL.

I would definitely go for the TCL over the Onn if you have a hard limit on that $230 price point. Otherwise Dolby Vision support for $22 more would be my preference, but most people are okay with HDR10.

Plasma has wide gamut, and deeper blacks, BUhhhhh, a Samsung plasma at THIS point in time would've developed elevated blacks and lost alot of peak brightness.
That's why I'm going to compare the two when I get it this Saturday. I've already replaced the power supply board on the plasma, I'm afraid that it'll die within a year. Better to sell it for $100-$150 while it still has some life in it.

If these features were supported you would 100% advertise them like other Walmart TVs. It would make the TV much more enticing then just "okay".
Again, I'm just telling you the differences since someone was asking and a lot of us have both. Just saying what an extra $22 get you versus a rebadged Onn. It's just like buying a car with filled in buttons. It will still work fine, you just didn't pay for the upgrades.

I have did my homework, some listed here and I'm comfortable saying this is a Hisense 65R6E3.... I've been a purchase manager and also in the Customer service Industry for decades. Unless they've designed a completely different model just for Walmart's Black Friday I'm right..... and I usually am. Just wait till purchasers come back to this site....... In fact this model which isn't on their website currently had a 4.8 rating at the $399 price point and the previous ONN 65 had a 4.0 ..... And that's with a 100 of them broken during shipping..... You don't get them reviews from penny pinching people unless it's from a reputable manufacturer selling a quality product

Let's put aside the fact that you may be an Evil-person.

The Universe has unfortunately put you in charge of Finite-Historical Technology.

Plasma TVs will never be made again. You may be unscrupulous, but you are Keeper-of-the-Flame on this. It's not only irresponsible and short sighted to haphazardly dispose of your plasma, it is immoral.

Plasmas are an endangered / dying species.

/As you can probably tell. I love plasmas.

I disagree with basing the decision on Dolby vision in this price bracket.

Dolby vision tonemapping is worthless without at least 400-500nits to work with.

If you want even remotely hdr-looking image at the 200nits range of these budget Sets, you need a mid range PC connection w/ madvr dynamic tonemapping which is superior to Dolby's tonemapping.

Why is it so hard for you to see that they might, err, do in many cases make a WM only or BF only variant that is virtually "the same" but is missing a feature here or there? They've been doing such for "BF model" tvs for years.

Maybe, but still not sure, we will see it after people posting the feedback and we still have time to return it.
Agreed. It's not hard to test and I'm sure someone will. Here's a few titles you can use to check if Dolby Vision is supported.

Netflix (Ultra 4K Premium plan req.) - Our planet, Altered Carbon, 6 Underground. You will see the Dolby Vision logo prominently displayed.

Disney+ - Mandalorian, Force Awakens, Captain America: Winter Soldier (whole bunch more, I think Disney has a huge Dolby Vision catalog)

Prime Video - Jack Ryan (Season 1)

Here is a screenshot from my Hisense TV for Disney+ so you know what the logo looks like.

This is correct, they HAVE done this, for example the latest walmart vizio quantums are different from the q7 reviewed on rting. They have less dimming zones, or none at all.

You're getting the Hisense Android mixed up with their ROKU version. This ONN is for ROKU lovers. As for HDR10/Dolby, they don't mean anything with a panel like this as you'll never see a difference unless you pay close attention side by side..... BUT the ONN is a full array panel and believe it will have everything the Hisense 2020 RUKU version has.

I replaced my Panasonic Plasma with the Hisense. Bought it 10 years ago for $50 more here on Slickdeals. I still love the rich blacks on it and 600Hz refresh rate which is still unheard of to this day. I'm satisfied with the quality of the Hisense but I still love my Panny and hope it lasts 10 years more. heart

It most certainly will not live 10 more years. Capacitors have a shelf life of 20yrs, they may still be ok for longer, but they're not safe and put the rest of the circuit in danger. EEK!

I only turn my plasma on during the holidays to reminisce of life before trump.

We're not talking about Android TV vs Roku here. That has been clear. We're just talking about spec support and what Walmart stripped from the Onn units.

I absolutely see the difference when playing back Dolby Vision content and it looks much better. But to each their own.

Can you please tell me about the Target deal? Is it live? Or when does it go live? Thank you
