Always the people that need to justify their money spent in these listings.

I own a 65in LG OLED, and a 55in Samsung Q80R.... Both last year's top TVs for price and performance... And I still use the Hisense 65in I got last year for $240 and I have no issue with the 50in ONN I bought for $100 as well.

Budget 4K are pretty damn good from Septre, ONN and the like... People praise TCL and forget people talked trash about them as well... Same thing for Vizio.

Even more interesting is a lot of budget sets use 2nd tier Samsung VA panels that actually look better than the entry level LGs with poor contrast.

man... $228 for a full array led 4k 65" TV shipped free. Imagine seeing these deals 10 years ago, you'd hardly believe it.

My local Walmart had 9 of these sitting in the main isle for $228. I wasn't aware of the deal and had to ask if that was the correct price. They said they were left-overs from the online sale and they had 22 total in-store. As I was there talking with them many other people started gathering after seeing that price. One guy walked in and said right away he would take three. I knew they wouldn't last long but I couldn't fit one in my car so I went and rented a U-Haul for $20. I bought two of them because I know a family member will want one at this price. If not I'll gift it to my mom.
I'm about to unbox it now and hook it up. It will replace a 55inch Seiki that I bought on Cyber Monday like 4 years ago for $580. Good luck everyone!

Some are not able to learn. Great idea about buying 4 items and returning three of them. Need to take this idea to all products, that's the ticket, and don't you dare say otherwise!

Anyone know if any of these remotes will work as a second remote? This link had one for both Hisense and Onn at different prices

Installed mine yesterday. Picture is bright, I actually put it into darker + low power mode and like the picture. Built-in speakers impressed me, at least with their volume. I'm a casual viewer, so may not hook up my bookshelf system again unless I notice distortion.

Roku interface is actually pretty slick; I'm amazed at the amount of free live streaming channels and free on demand content!

The kicker is you keep saying that and I'm far too young, maybe since you keep using an old meme name it's you who is the boomer. Wrong and ignore are the ways of the brainlet can't be both, can it??

I am not 100% sure but there is an option to add additional remote. As the other slickdealer mentioned, you can use your smartphone or tablet as remote with Roku App

Just picked up Slick-Fam.

Using the Roku-App, and setting the whitepoint and nearblack gamma.

I managed to pull 5000:1 Contrast ratio out of it @ 6504k color temp. If you use Normal color temp mode, and Offset the Blue channel using software, It should be possible to pull 5200-5300:1 contrast out of this panel.

Peak Brightness, 220nits calibrated @ 6500k, 227-230nits (pc offset possible). It can push 330, if you run the blue channel all the way up

Out of the box Color-Accuracy, ... hahaha, that's all I'm gonna say, there's no mode to set it in if you want accurate colors, the Warm is 5800k, The normal and cool are way way too blue. If you guys want accurate colors, you will need a colorimeter.

Gamut coverage is ~97% srgb, no problems here.

GAMMA (brightness tracking), is good, no problems with tone-ramp.

Good news for PC users, This panel does not use spatial dithering, it has 1:1 pixel mapping.

Bad news for PC users, This panel has undefeatable black bar detection. That's good and bad really, it depends on what you're doing. (you can't turn it off), it is NOT part of the dynamic contrast setting.

Panel quality is _not so great_. There are some very obvious Mura patterns visible. .

These are C+ grade panels.
I noticed a couple malfunctioning subpixels as well..

For $230, It's tough to complain. It is what it is. Peace

I will burn it in for an hour (exercise the pixels), and calibrate the full Gamma ramp and post settings for you guys. .It won't be accurate for your panel, but you can decide whether it helps.

Just got mine and pickup was surprisingly painless. Love the TV for the size- the picture quality is exactly what you'd expect to pay for.

Thanks a ton, xtp, and all others giving reviews.

A good direction on settings would be welcomed as well.

I'll do my best as far as that goes once I get the time. Going to pick it up and keep it for as long as it lasts. Hope Onn will give software updates in the future, cause I'm a little scared they will not.

I just picked up this TV from Walmart today. We cut the cord at the beginning of this year and have been doing chromecasting. This is our first Roku tv. A couple observations:

It's kinda wierd having a remote again. Most apps use some an auth from tour device with a code approach. Disney+ makes you type in a username and password. LAME.

Google integration works well

Roku app in phone works. The listen private on your device is an easy way to listen to the TV using earbuds without annoying the family.

Can't chromecast from chrome anymore. There are probably alternative ways to cast my laptop to the TV but I don't know them yet.

ATT HBO MAX (we get for free) isn't available on Roku. Maybe one day?

ARC speaker bar integration was flawless

Back in the 1990s $250 was about what I'd spend on a TV. I know this isn't a highend quantum LED or OLED TV but man it's amazing what someone can get for $229 these days.

I was able to play 10bit 4K HDR 265 encoded MKV files smoothly from an USB drive formatted to NTFS using the Roku Media Player. I'm pleasantly surprised that it can play such a high bitrate 265 encoded file without hiccups.
Can you share how you played this video. On mine it says setup live TV pause when I hit play. If I continue it will format an NTFS drive.

Never mind I figured it out.
