Always the people that need to justify their money spent in these listings.

I own a 65in LG OLED, and a 55in Samsung Q80R.... Both last year's top TVs for price and performance... And I still use the Hisense 65in I got last year for $240 and I have no issue with the 50in ONN I bought for $100 as well.

Budget 4K are pretty damn good from Septre, ONN and the like... People praise TCL and forget people talked trash about them as well... Same thing for Vizio.

Even more interesting is a lot of budget sets use 2nd tier Samsung VA panels that actually look better than the entry level LGs with poor contrast.

Why would anyone purchase an extremely cheap no name piece of trash without purchasing an extended warranty..... and then whine about it?
Just on the website, it states you have 30 days to add the warranty. 9th time, you do not. I brought this to Walmart attention and they gave me a discount. I thought you could get a 2 year Onn warranty too. Then I shared the findings with this thread. Id for sure want to know this information, even if you label it as whining. Better for you just to forget/ingore this, it doesnt matter to you and feel its wasting your time.

Does anyone's 65-inch Onn TV box for this Onn Model #100021261 actually state a 1-year warranty, which extends to a 2-year warranty with registration (and if so, can you please post a picture of it and Onn Model #)? My 65-inch TV box does NOT state this, and there is NOT any specific warranty information on the box, nor in the enclosed documentation. However, my 42-inch Onn TV box does state the 2-year warranty with registration. Also, the posted link in Comment #1132 (https://onntvsupport.com/wp-conte...ve-onn.pdf ) is for LCD TVs, and may not apply to this TV which is an LED TV. Additionally, from my saved screen downloads of the original Walmart Black Friday Sale listings (before Walmart took them down), the 42-inch TV does specify the 2-year warranty with registration, whereas the 65-inch TV lacks any warranty specification.

With the Onn registration website not listing this specific TV model, I called the Onn telephone number at 844-334-2355, where a recording directed me to call 888-516-2630 for this Black Friday Sale TV model #100021261. I called, and spoke to a nice customer service representative who looked up the warranty information for this 65-inch TV, and said that Walmart had sent out a specific separate memorandum for this 65-inch TV that came across his dashboard, which he looked up for me, and which he read to me with it stating that the 50-inch and 65-inch Onn Black Friday TVs had NO warranty. He did tell me that I could separately purchase an extended warranty. He also told me that according to his spreadsheet, that the pricing of this TV was sold below Walmart's cost, and confirmed this was a Hisense-manufactured TV, and that this model was produced specifically for Walmart's Black Friday promotion. This makes sense, as with the TV having NO warranty, Hisense is able to produce this TV at lower cost, since they do not have to incur the liability of warranty repair costs on their balance sheet, and hence Walmart is able to sell the TV at a lower price point. I don't see Hisense stepping up and providing any warranty coverage, and the memorandum's existence suggests that Walmart did not initially contract for any warranty from Hisense.

However, this decision shifts the cost risk to the end-purchaser who incorrectly assumes there is a warranty as would be expected with most electronic purchases. Unless anyone can provide evidence or documentation that there is a warranty, I can see warranty claims for the Black Friday Onn 65-inch (and 50-inch) TV denied in the future, after Walmart's 90-day return period expires (there is effectively a 90-day warranty from Walmart's return policy). For those people who intend to keep the TV, I would suggest purchasing some type of extended warranty prior to their eligibility period expiring, or trying to find a different Black Friday TV before Walmart's 90-day return period expires.

While I like my 65-inch TV, what bothers me is that in order to meet Walmart's price point, I expect Hisense had to cut their production costs for this TV, which generally comes from decreasing features (of which warranty coverage can be considered a feature) and/or using less expensive components. The problem with less expensive components is that quality control is decreased, which generally speaking, results in higher likelihood of component failure and the TV requiring repair, although this isn't always this case. But for this low-cost budget TV, the cumulative probability of failure should be higher, and so IMO warranty coverage is important.

Ordered black Friday tv and ended up getting the tv below when I picked it up yesterday model# 100012587:

https://www.walmart.com/ip/onn-65.../476550098

Box states 2 year warranty with registration and the paperwork inside states the same Haven't got a chance to turn on since its my parents Xmas present and they are currently on vacation. Registered tv but have not gotten an email yet. Look forward to setting it up foe then when tbey return. Opened box and tv is slim and looks great.

How ironic you are calling someone a crybaby with your constant whining. You're now adding hindsight, coulda, shoulda game to your whining about my post bringing awareness to others that may have already bought this or in future?? I see why you're not aware of how this would benefit others since you knew Onn would not give a warranty and knew Walmart would not allow you to add it( unlike all the other TVs). An amazing display of an ironic unaware poophead thinking patterns.

Sorry if these have already been posted!

1. Looking for general opinions between this and the TCL that was at Target. I bought both, but haven't opened them up yet. Any opinions welcomed! (I don't really care about android vs roku, just picture quality, build quality, other settings, etc.)

2. With all of the talk of the extended warranties (which I did not buy as I thought I could add it afterwards) does anyone have a pic from Walmart site that said you could buy it afterwards? I remember seeing it when buying it, but not anymore.

I did see this in my order on Walmart, but when I clicked on it, it led me to an option for a vacuum cleaner I bought the day before.

Your order has purchases eligible for a Protection Plan. Add a plan within 17 days!View eligible plans

Oh, and now "others" know not to buy an obvious no name garbage tv and "think" about the no brainer to upgrade their garbage warranty. I'm not whining, I'm stating the obvious.... You're either stupid or broke and shouldn't be buying a tv to begin with, much less without clutching daddy's arm with one hand and digging for his credit card with the other.

Get the TCL, far better name.... "Top line" Chinese garbage but even still don't forget to get the cheap warranty for piece of mind..... It's less bright but much better contrast.... An all around better tv and you won't notice the difference in brightness unless you have only one outlet and can either run the tv or a lamp..... and oh, you can buy the warranty thru Target for 30 days after for $43 bucks.

I got them both as well but after breaking it down, mine's still waiting for me at Walmart with the warranty.... Wonder if I could still get it..... or possibly a terrific upgrade.... Really don't care, I love my TCL~!!

I didn't have time to read all 82 pages. The picture on mine looks ok and I don't have real issues. The plex app has to transcode 4k files. Is there a list of supported file types or formats?

As another user mentioned, Walmart removed the listing and it doesn't seem to allow an extended warranty. I think this might be an error because my purchase history has a click to buy an extended warranty link with a count down with remaining days to buy it.

I contacted Walmart and they gave me info to contact the insurer directly. However, they want to charge you over double ($69.99). They offered a discount to bring it down to ~$55, but wouldn't match the Walmart price.

For fun, just click that link and try to buy it.... Then you will see what you need to see and be updated. I was happy with the Onn 2 year warranty, once I saw Onn didn't list the numbers on the website. Thought that was odd, I registered anyway and got no confirmation email. I knew about the 30 days to buy a warranty from Walmart. Tried that route and...well you'll find out. Since Walmart gave me the 100 off and I decided to keep it and the box for piece of mind. I'm happy with my settings, picture quality, and overall value for this TV, Goodluck.

Just an FYI. All of the HDMI ports have stopped showing the image properly after a week of use. Image comes through but it is extremely dark and faded. Normal tv works and looks great though.
