FWIW I have a Roomba 960 sitting in my basement in a box b/c the Roborock S4 that was on sale at Amazon at $285 recently (and has regularly gone on sale for $300) is better in basically every way. So much better than I bought one for each floor and retired the Roomba:
- cleans more thoroughly, navigation is more sane (has smart mapping that the Roomba is lacking)
- app-defined no go zones and custom room definitions (no buying extra buoys, can tell it to clean a single room which has been huge during the pandemic when people are around all day long and rooms may need to be split up by session)
- Significantly less hair tangles on equipment
- The Roomba is allegedly quieter in its specs, but my family swears the S4 is actually quieter in practice (I suspect this is due to its rubber spinner)
- S4 is better about driving up onto area my rugs, which the roomba always skipped
That said I have mostly hardwood and low-pile carpets, I can't speak to performance with a lot of medium pile carpets, Wirecutter calls that out as a specific strength of the Roomba 960.
OP, put the price in the title.
This is a solid pick, I don't think I can make it work because it does not have keep out zones or specific room cleaning.
The camera has it's advantages, just be aware the Robot is afraid of the dark and will need light to get the best cleaning performance.

It has mapping, not sure how well that works. But this is a good price for a robot with that feature.
Mapping is great on this model. I do not recommend any roomba below the 900 series because it just bounces around. Might be good for a studio or something along those lines but outside of that, you have no idea what it cleaned.

Good spot, repped. Does the warranty included return shipping?
