Westinghouse iGen2500 for $449 at Sam's Club

Just got my November Savings Week ad from Sam's; they're going to have the Westinghouse iGen2500 on sale for $449...sounds like a great deal since they are selling normally for $600 plus. I know some of you are going to balk at this and tell me that you bought this generator for 30 dollars last summer and these are hurricane prices, and you got this one for buy one get one free in 1985, etc. Please save it!

The link I provided only takes you to the current priced item. They have not posted this sale on their website, I received it in print by mail only as the Big Holiday Savings Book. Starts Nov 7-15.

Me too picked two of these up last BF with the transfer cord for $500 for 2... The Walton's are going to the bank on these margins plus your membership fee. Applause

Awesome, thanks for posting this. I've been eyeing that model wondering if it might be available for this year's special.

Haven't seen my Sam's flyer yet but will look for it.

It was not in the sams club 2019 black friday ad, it was in the the Nov 9 2019 one day sale for $399 not 2 for $500
This year it is $50 more.

Saw this too... was waiting for the i1200 to go on sale for $299 again and get two of them, but might have to jump on this one at this price.
Was just figuring can run the two in parallel if needed for approx same output, but will have an extra one in case one has a failure too.

How does this generator compare to the Ryobi 2300? Seems the Ryobi , Bluetooth (shutoff, etc). Curious others thoughts. I know this Westinghouse has about (if real or not??) 400 more running watts. Also, it was the 2200 Westinghouse that was on sale for $299 before.

98cc engine vs 79cc engine suggests the 300-400 watt difference is real.

$449 for the Westinghouse beats $629 for the Ryobi unless there's a deal I've not seen?

I like Ryobi equipment well enough, but I'm not sure the bluetooth function would be worth an extra $180 and less capacity. JMHO tho.

I went to Generator Bible and searched for comparison like Deeddawg said, the Westy has 400 more watts. Also the Westy iGen2500 is 6 pounds lighter, more fuel efficient, and 6 decibels quieter. here is the link: https://generatorbible.com/compar...=8894,8295
