The intel 9000 series was comparable to the current 10000 series. Honestly at $450 with a graphics card you can't really expect the latest and greatest. It's a good deal for what it is, but no you're not going to play crysis at 4k on ultra settings.
A good non-gaming laptop at this price is decent. This is roughly equivilent to my EVOO gaming laptop I got in March for like $750 (mine had 16gb ram though, but same ssd, gpu, screen size, etc.) For a quote "name brand" gaming PC that isn't a refurb this is pretty great.

Would this laptop be able to do i racing? My son wants to get into i racing but I don't want to spend thousands in case he doesn't like it and it sits there unused.

The chance of actually being able to get this on 11/4? My guess is slim to none.

Screen is good for 62% of the sRGB. Obviously it's a gaming laptop, but anyone who had ideas for photo/video work and need accurate color spacing need not apply.

Otherwise, love these specs for the price.
I need to replace a laptop that I use for graphics, photo, and light video. If this won't be adequate, what would you suggest? This looks like a great price, but we won't do any gaming on it. My current laptop just has the integrated graphics chip and an inaccurate color pallette.

I appreciate your advice.

If anyone wants an honest answer to if it's "worth it".

This is ABSOLUTELY a good price to pick up ANY laptop with a dedicated graphics card.

THIS IS NOT THE BEST GAMING LAPTOP. It is a DECENT gaming laptop at a GOOD price. It gets outperformed by similar laptops in the 700-800$ range but at THIS price it is good.

Asus Zenbook or ProArt, Dell XPS 15, Dell Latitude 7xxx or 9xxxx models, Precision 3550/3551/7540, and HP Envy 15 come to mind. The Latitudes and Precisions will have different screen options and not all have 100% coverage. A good number of those models have RAM soldered to the motherboard and can't be upgraded later, so make sure you get one with 16GB from the start.

Hi same need a laptop for graphic design and programs to work with 3d graphics. I was paying more attention to ram. But i haven't seen a good computer less than 700$ with 12+ ram. I'm thinking in buying this pc and adding more ram. Advice?

Deal of the year on a decent gaming laptop
Too soon to tell for this year, but last year anything with these specs for <$500 got scooped-up fast, even refurbished Dell gaming laptops... Last BF, I was trying to find a <$500 entry-level gaming laptop for my (older teen) son but ended-up getting him a HP Omen 15" with 1660ti (144hz) for $800 and myself a Evoo 17 with RTX 2060 (144hz) for $1000. Both have the 6-core I7-9750h CPU, which handle MS Flight Simulator 2020 & 4K video editing just fine. IMO, the 1650 is probably great for younger kids who still play Fortnite, etc. but older teens will appreciate you bumped up to the 1660TI... But it's still early in the 4th quarter...

As for Walmart's Evoo brand (who apparently has the rights to use Gateway labeling now?) I am extremely pleased with how much value I got for just $1000 plus an $88 3-year protection plan. The Evoo 17" has (3) spots for drives, so it's great for editing video as long as you don't need a TB3 port... I've got it connected to (2) external monitors & am using it like a desktop for working online, etc. It's faster than the 6-core Xeon desktop it replaced & I also use it for some light video editing until I have a chance to add more drive space...

In your case I would advise to spend more money on a laptop. Around the 1100 range . This would work fine for hobby purposes, but anything else and you'd be better served with a better display, battery life, and processors. And a touchscreen. Maybe a Lenovo pad or higher end envy 360

I haven't posted many high rated deals, but every time I get the same results. When I give reputation it's always 4 points, but everybody giving me rep is 0.
