I know you're getting downvoted but thanks for the heads up. I was able to chat with a CSR and get the same deal, $200 off, although it had to be applied to the 24 month payment plan. They wouldn't give the option to pay full price.

Either way, this is a good deal for someone who was going to upgrade to an iPhone 12 anyway and pay over 24 months! Thanks!

I got the same deal after chatting. One thing to note is you have to pay on installment but in the agreement it states you may pay it off in full at any time without any additional charges. I'm sure OP is talking about this when mentioning to pay off in full.

Good deal for anyone wanting to pay off free and clear while also trading their phone elsewhere for a higher trade in value.

No luck for me, he just gave me the normal deal that anyone can get. He told me, "To be honest with you, we dont just give out credits here. We always based on what promotion or deal is going on with the device the customer is purchasing and it's the exact same deal we offer, we just provide more details of it but not provide any more credit than that as we only cater one time courtesy credits for instances like if there has been errors on the bill, etc."

Thanks, OP. I'm going to try when the Max becomes available. Have over $500 device dollars from the Verizon credit card early promo, so should be a nice early upgrade to one of my secondary lines which are eligible (still going to be paying off the 11 Pro Max for 14 more months on my primary because of the stupid trade-in restriction - can't pay it off early or I lose the credits).

How did you apply the best buy trade in to this deal? Aren't you speaking with Verizon rep, did you involve the best buy rep for the trade in?

I expect the person was just indicating they were able to get that amount from Best Buy for their old phone. Best Buy gift card cannot be used on Verizon bill--at least not that I am aware of anyway!

Thanks for sharing, OP. You were already on an Unlimited plan, so I wonder if they would offer the same to someone who is not. Most or all of the deals advertised are contingent on customers upgrading to Unlimited. The $0 activation was also a nice extra. Will check it out. Repped.
