What will be the price for AT&T/Verizon iPhone 11/11 pro/11 pro max/XS/XS max without including GC? If we consider current walmart.com price for 64GB AT&T/Verizon then,

iPhone 11 - $549 currently. If we include $400 GC then price will be $149
iPhone 11 pro - $849 currently. If we include $450 GC then price will be $399
iPhone 11 max - $949 currently. If we include $450 GC then price will be $549
iPhone XS - $399 currently. If we include $450 GC then price will be -$49
iPhone XS M - $499 currently. If we include $450 GC then price will be $49

Will the price be same during BF?
I highly doubt it. Walmart postpaid phones all have 2 prices, a phone-only price independent of any carrier and a financed price where national retailer/carrier discounts apply The XS/XS Max have a MSRP of $100 less than all of the 11 Pros, which only gets reduced to those deeply discounted prices when you choose carrier finance. This is the exact behavior of the iPhone SE (2020) which is $399 for phone-only price, and $199 for carrier finance.

Walmart also has a history of hiking the MSRP of prev-gen phones for Black Friday, and I suspect they will simply not have the national retailer/carrier discount for the XS/XS Max so they can pay for the big eGC you get during this sale period. Old wine in new bottle, if you will.

Some of us want that over iPhone 12. I use a few jailbroken tweaks that I find indispensable. New iPhone 11s can still be on 13.5 or earlier (13.5 was released in late May, 13.5.1 on Jun 1st). Those can be jailbroken. Have to do this in store and check the box serial itself to know what OS it's on so that sucks, but still worth it for me. OTOH, iPhone 12 on iOS 14 - who knows when.

I'd have to disagree. With the new iPhone 12 series, your cost of ownership [forbes.com] will be much higher because of the increase in 40% average repair cost across the board; it is still puzzling as to why the i12's OLED screen is inferior to the i11 Pro's, but will cost much more to repair. In addition, you also have to buy charger and earbuds separately. Furthermore, if you use wireless charging a lot, Apple will force you to buy into its new Magsafe ecosystem instead of using the current Qi fast charging. Therefore, all of your current Qi fast chargers will only charge i12 at 7.5W.

Consequently, the majority of new iPhone owners will opt to buy the monthly insurance for accidental damage and theft at an additional $12-ish. Therefore, the final cost of owning [queenscitizen.ca] an iPhone 12 (not Pro) alone will cost at least $900-1000 before taxes.

There is also another report [forbes.com] on Apple's stealthy pricing business tactics as well. I am hoping Walmart stock is still the old revision with the included charger and earbuds.

In another report [google.com], iPhone 12 5G drains battery at much higher rate than its Android counterpart, and drains 20% more compares to 4G (LTE).

hey bros,

I'm a current Verizon customer with a Pixel phone. In order to take advantage of this deal, I would need to buy the iPhone 11 at the advertised price from Walmart and pay installments? The perk is the Walmart gift card?
Correct. As long as your Pixel is fully paid off.

Yes. At least with Verizon, 60 days for unlock minimum and needs to be paid off.

Hi,
Did you see any info on a requirement of an unlimited plan to upgrade? I don't have an unlimited plan, btw.
TIA

A side note for general discussion, I would have to agree with the quote [forbes.com]:

"Apple has argued that the decision was about reducing environmental waste, rather than saving money. But, as industry insider Ice Universe points out: "Apple said the cancellation of the charger is for environmental protection. But this has led to thousands of charging head factories vying to produce a large number of chargers for iPhone 12. Is this environmentally friendly?"

Personally, I would argue Apple should've switched all iPhones to USB-C if it wanted to maximize environmental benefits. "

Yes 5G is still a couple of years old but definitely getting a lot of traction and may be done in 1 year! What will be worth of a 4G phone then?
I'm sorry but there's just so much wrong with this statement. They will definitely not be done in a year, or two, or three. All the carriers roll out new technology nationwide first (ie. a handful of towers in major metro areas) so that they can claim they have that service in that city. The rollout of additional towers to make that tech actually usable to the masses happens at a much slower pace thereafter. Look at LTE. It has been out for years and they are still upgrading and rolling it out as we speak. Your point may be valid that the price of 5G phone vs 4G phone is the same. But realistic expectations matter.

Hi,
I jailbreak to install system-wide adblock, remove non-user-removable apps to reduce always-on background app data and system resources, which in turn save battery and data in the process. In addition, there are other intuitive tweaks to enhance user experience such as enhance gesture functions, etc...
