Does anyone know what phones are eligible for the $250 trade in?

Also, any idea how the trade in works if buying the new phone in person. Hoping to buy this as a Christmas gift.

Edit - Nevermind, read the fine print for the details

They will have plenty of worth. Most people don't care about 5g and will notice hardly any if at all of a difference.
Yea negative man... apple retired to convince people 2G was fine with the original iPhone. Same with being late to the LTE party.

Nobody wants 2G or non lte phone now. 5G will be the same this year. 5G is great - 4K video streaming.

People need to understand that when you buy a device through a third party retailer like Walmart or Samsung and opt for carrier (Verizon) financing, it DOES NOT lock you into a 24 month payment. You ABSOLUTELY CAN pay off the device in full after it bills to your account (usually 1st billing period). I did this deal on the 11 when it released last November and paid it off in full after a few months. I also recently bought the iPhone SE 2020 on Walmarts site and paid it off at first bill cycle. I have purchased 5 devices direct from Samsung, using Verizon financing and paid them all off within a month or two. The instant I paid these devices off the line showed it was eligible for an upgrade again.

But the payment credit does make you stay on the plan, right?

So it's adding an installment plan on your account, will this affect your plan, discount, or any sort? To be specific, I m on this grandfathered plan and don't want to ruin it.

I am currently on AT&T Prepaid. To get on this deal, I would need to activate a new post-paid line with AT&T (cheapest is $50/mo), pay off the phone bill after first month, then cancel the post-paid line?

Yes I think you can. ATT does not have those 2-year or 3-year contract agreement which they used to have way back in 2012-2013. About 10 months back when i contacted postpaid customer support, they said that I can cancel the postpaid service without any ETF once the device is paid off in full. I am on ATT postpaid plan for past several years and was thinking of canceling it as soon as i get this deal and payoff the device price and then switch to prepaid plan.

If I'd want to get an 11 just to use as an "iPod" without service, would I be able to do this and cancel after a month and be good to go? Would it be unlocked?

Is this deal with straight talk wireless? Does it require any contract? How many months of service needed to unlock the device? Thx.
