I will be paying $35 for first month of the plan and any activation fee. I can cancel anytime after I pay off the phone($650) and get the EGC which may take a few days. Then I can wait until 60 days before I can call in to unlock regardless if I am on service or not?
I don't have a walmart nearby so I'd appreciate if someone can get back to me on this so i can decide whether or not to make a 1 hour trip to the store during the promo.
thanks
Hope someone does something similar with iphone 12
My question is, is Verizon phones are still unlocked? Is it still doable same steps for upcoming deal?

"Postpay Device Unlocking Policy
Devices that you purchase from Verizon are locked for 60 days after purchase. Devices that you purchase from our retail partners are locked for 60 days after activation. After 60 days, we will automatically remove the lock. Following the 60 day lock period, we do not lock our phones at any time. "

I don't know if you have to keep the phone on Verizon for 60 days or if they will unlock it in 60 day regardless of service. Personally, I would bet on a 60 service requirement because Verizon can be shady.
