Not all cars will work, there are some that work great, some that are ok, and some that wont go through the "propulsion device" at all due to ddifferent body shapes and sizes.

Reading the reviews, the sky crash tower comes with 1 car, The included cars always work great.

4 D batteries? Unless you have all kinds of batteries ready. As for me AA and AAA is more than enough. Have to keep a set of D batteries is a deal breaker.

At some point, I'm going to have to install some AC adapters on these booster things. They lose speed quickly with a less than brand new battery. Maybe a slightly higher voltage one to up the speed, just because...well, speed.

I think I quickly watched part of a YouTube video or something. It's just a mater of getting an AC adapter and corresponding female plug to install near the battery door. Sure, some cutting and soldering might be required, but it isn't rocket surgery. It's just down my list of crap I need or want to get done around here.

My son has a figure 8 track for Cars 3 and it required 4 D batteries as well, brand new energizer max plus deluxe optimum ultra (gotta exaggerate the ridiculous names of things like they do) and the batteries were dead in a week with regular play each day.

These hot wheel sets are awesome, we have a few and hundreds and hundreds of hot wheels and most of them work perfectly fine zooming through the propulsion zones and stay on the track.
