its too big for only 1080p, you will be able to see the pixels. not a bad deal its just not ideal on the specs.

Bullshit, you won't see pixels unless you like to pretend to be an elitist and sit stupid close to a 32 inch screen. Anyone will find problems to complain about if they want to find problems.

I have a curved Acer 32", also just 1080p, and i'm typing on it right now, sitting 2.5 feet away from it , have perfect 20/20 vision and the screen is perfectly fine for text, videos and images. I game on it too. Will you see finer, sharper display on a QHD screen at the same size and distance, yes, but nobody is going to see pixels at typical, practical use scenarios.

For a monitor most will agree 1080p on a 32" is doodoo but you do you bro.

Silly question but is there a restocking fee? I want to buy this for simple office type work but reading everyone's opinion is making me wonder if it'll be a disaster or not. I'm sure it'll be fine but just in case I need to return it, do they charge a restocking fee and how much?

I had 27 inch 1080p and it was way too pixelated, went with 32 1440p. Night and day. I wouldnt reccomend anything lower than 1440p in 2020.

I don't think so. I hope not because I'm planning to exactly what you're thinking.

Not great, same as any 1080p. This monitor is for high refresh gaming. There are some 27" 1440p 144Hz monitors for under $200 on SD if you want something that does it all at a good price.

Have you used this monitor?

I wanted to hear from people who are using it about how the low PPI works for non gaming/media consumption purposes.

For office work, you need an ips monitor which provides wider angle and better brightness

Not this specific model, but I used a 32" 1080p for two years before upgrading. I also used a 40" 1080p tv for awhile. Moved it back on the desk, but moving my neck so much was a bigger issue than pixel density. You can always resolve the latter by sitting further away from the screen.

it's fine.

People complaining about resolution clearly don't do ANY WORK on computers.

The majority of productivity apps are designed to work with 1080p monitors. Alot of them glitch out or have odd button sizes when going to 2560x1440, or 4K

Work is mostly text, and TEXT uses sub-pixel rendering, effectively Tripling the effective texture resolution. That's what Cleartype is.

I see. I've ordered this, will see how it goes. Thanks.

Most comments have focused on the PPI, yours adds some depth to it. I had forgotten about Clear type, Windows hasn't asked me if I want to enable clear type for a few years.

And you're right, I don't think the software tools I use would play well with all resolutions. They're not great at UI/UX even on 1080p to begin lol.

I have no horse in this race.

I have a 32" HP 2540(?)res monitor on a kvm with three computers.
One cpu has very old hardware Core 2 Quad and can only do 1080.
The other two do 2540 and look a LOT better.
I rarely play games and never FPS games.

If you buy it, make sure you can return if you do not like it.

I picked this up for my 13 year old son last night as a Christmas gift now I'm wondering if I shouldn't have. But then again he's 13 and has pieced his gaming computer together over time and is currently using a crappy Polaroid tv Black Friday special from a couple of years ago as a monitor so I'm sure it will be fine.

This should be way better.
