Also Seiko is rebranding themselves to be more competitive with the big boys and shifting price tier points. You can no longer buy a $200 automatic iso 6425 standard dive watch because literally no one sells them that cheap anymore. Look at the big name brands, their divers are all $4k minimum so Seiko sees that and says "why should I be missing out on millions of revenue?"
Also Seiko is rebranding themselves to be more competitive with the big boys and shifting price tier points. these 5s can be found at Kohls where you can usually stack discounts. i recently paid about $170 for the blue one and got $30 in Kohls cash that i didn't use.
