I'm a nobody. Just some guy who bought this seiko deal, who regularly buys quality watches, who is commenting on a Seiko deal.

You're the one randomly pushing some other website, piggybacking off this deal. Why not start your own thread if that watch is such a bargain? Because it would be thumbed down to oblivion. You're only here to post off topic, random non-deals to feed traffic to some watch maker that doesn't have the exposure of a Seiko brand.

Go home. Or stay and participate in the conversations that are occurring. But stop schilling and trolling and trying to change the topic and seeking validation because you bought some random watch off the internet.

This is a pretty good deal for a solid watch. I wasn't aware the SRP line of watches had the same moding community as the discontinued SKX line. You can get it at this price with either the NATO strap as linked or even with a stainless steel bracelet [macys.com] for $188 with free shipping. This is fairly large at 42.5mm so it' not for small wrists. A day/date complication with an automatic movement and a display case back for $188 is a solid if not great deal.

For those wondering about wrist size and this case size, I would say case size wears less than 42.5 mm listed. The bezel curves in making watch seem smaller, and 4 o'clock crown slims it down. I have a ~6.25" wrist and wear it without an issue, despite my hesitation when buying

Its a niche brand and is 10x better quality than say a fashion brand watch such a MVMNT or Fossil. They use seiko movement on some/all?

But If I was buying one I'd wait for their pretty aggressive BF sales

I've wanted one of these since they were announced... I still love my SKX009 (on an ebay shark bracelet with machined clasp) but it's gaining as much as 5min a day now. I'm sure a service/regulation could get it back in-line, but it's hard to justify the cost vs. the price of a 5KX. I prefer the red second hand of the rubber strap version, but the black chapter ring of the NATO version... I guess you can't have it all.

I understand the differences in in water resistance, crown, etc... but it's a desk diver, not something I'd take in the water to begin with.

The Aragon is also compelling, especially at $139 on leather-look silcone (since I'll probably throw it on a distressed brown leather strap or shark bracelet anyway). I'm not sure if I care for the dual-color lume, but I know any time it would actually be visible, it wouldn't matter from an aesthetic standpoint anyway.

these were recently on amazon for 157 but have since gone up a ton inexplicably. it was overnight they all went up. i got the luminox for 300 from costco and it is 600 everywhere else. the tritium lumen is amazing. never had a watch that never dimmed in the dark. used by navy seals. much rather have it. https://www.amazon.com/Luminox-An...merReviews

The case design is what separates the Seiko Turtles. I'm seriously tempted by the King Turtle with the blue "Save the Ocean" dial for $380.
