They also have the bundle deals as well with the Blink mini camera for $5 more at $69.99 and they also have the Echo Show 5 on sale at $44.99 and $49.99 with Blink mini camera. Good time to get one for anybody who missed the Prime Day deals.

I debated between the Echo Show 5 and 8 but decided on the Echo Show 8. I would have taken the bundle camera deal for the extra $5 but I already have a couple Wyze cameras so I ordered it ($64.99) from Kohl's with the store pickup and $10 Kohl's Cash bonus.

I have a Fire HD 10 as well and asked the same question. I had to look on youtube to see what the Echo Show does. A tablet can do lot of the stuff and even more than this Echo Show but the Echo Show does better what it was designed to do. It will give you better sound (Speaker matters), better security system (I am going to use it with wyze), better clock than phone or tablet clock and designed with home automation. Plus the huge benefit of being constantly connected to an outlet. I don't want to keep my Fire HD 10 plugged into the outlet 24/7. When I tweaked my Fire HD 10, I completely lost "Show Mode" anyways so I can't even get it to work. It is just a blank screen now when I click "Show Mode".

If I want to install this for my grandma so she can easily answer video calls from family (and not have to actually hold something in her hand) would this be the best device for that?

Would this be good to pair with a Eufy doorbell?
I currently have a google home and two mini's would it be better to stay in that platform and get a hub?

This is helpful. I have toyed around with getting HD10s instead of more shows. They can be voice activated and told to check on your cameras, for me, the cost of permanent docking station and wall outlet solution that didn't look ugly, I was back to the same price as the discounted Shows. Would love to hear from someone else using showmode from their Amazon tablets..

I don't believe these can show Eufy doorbells. I know they can do Ring, but I haven't seen them support Eufy, yet. Hopefully I'm wrong, since that's the setup I have, too.

The best deal I've seen on the Show8 was $100 for 2 ($50 each) many moons ago, and I've haven't seen it drop to the price since. The $65 price for the 8 is the cheapest I've seen lately though.

Amazon on prime days had this for $65 last week and as the previous poster mentioned, they had 2 for $100 in January 2020. Otherwise, this is as good as this will likely get for a single unit. It's a very good value. Amazon isn't making their money with these- they make the money on you fully buying into Alexa for your house.

Thanks for the heads up. 2 for $100 is an amazing deal!
