I actually forgot that virtualpin plans often use 43". These aren't popular every year, so I think I'll grab one and hold it for that. Thanks!

Thanks for the explanation!
But why would gamers care about chroma? I've only seen this pop up in the "serious professional" excel crowd streams Stick Out Tongue
Because reddit masterrace gamers are stupid, and they're in dire need of sheep instructions otherwise they don't know which way is up.

Spatial dithering and 444 chroma operate independently.

But overall, if you're worried about text, the dithering does impact it, but not if the text is above the contrast threshold of the dithering.

The dithering will bin and obscure very close luminance/color pixels, but text is usually in a very different color vs surrounding pixels, as is all fine-texture detail, the spatial dithering will not bin these pixels.

No these are likely va-panels, you'd want an ips panel for pinball because you'd view it at a slant.

I imagine it will be good enough for me. I have 4 real pins, and that's what I play. This would just be a hobby piece to showcase machines I remember or explain cool rulesets to guests. I have played the best of the available virtuals, and it will never be like a real machine.

No it won't. VA will completely bleed out and look almost colorless viewed at a slant.

There is a possibility the 70" tv is IPS, (not that anyone who isn't building a pinball machine would want one). But the small panel is likely VA, because VA is signficantly better than IPS for contrast.

I bought this 43 inch in August for $178 to keep on in the background of the home office. For my needs, I thought it was a good deal at that price. $88 is a steal for 43 inches with built in Roku. Only complaint I have is sometimes the WiFi doesn't automatically connect when it powers on so it takes a few button clicks to connect again.

The above link shows that 43" is $184 and 70" is $472

EDIT: My bad. I mistakenly thought it was showing the remaining time of the deal.

We need to wait until the deal goes live.
Duh..... reading comprehension is key..

To be fair most of his complaints can be fixed with a soundbar of any kind and honestly he has talked about speakers on TVs being crap anyway so not sure why he spent like half the video talking about it. You get what you pay for but his reviews have gone out the window the last few years considering he never buys or receives a "normal" TV nowadays. Most of his stuff are reviews of the most high end things that next to no one buys. He also talks about the TV being 60hz.... MOST TVs on the market are.... 60HZ lol So a completely normal experience for most people.
Every TV review should be 90% about the panel and 10% about the remote.

I think I will, plus I'll use Citi credit card to get the extended two year warranty

As for stacking the warranty:
"Citi again provides the standout policy for extended warranty coverage, offering 24 months extra protection on top of the combined manufacturer and purchased warranties of five years or less, and no cap on annual claims. Delivering up to 7 years warranty in total for items purchased with your Citi card."

I don't have much confidence in the reliability of a $88 43' TV with Roku. They most likely left out a few screws to lower the cost.

Lol they'll prob write you a check for $88 instead of bothering to send someone over to fix your $88 TV. Or send you a new TV entirely.
