that's better shoes than the KD? i buy based on the price, cause not sure how it fits, etc.

Depends if you're talking about indoor or outdoor basketball. For Indoor, I think most folks will either recommend the Wilson Evolution or Spalding TF-1000.

is this the spalding tf-1000 [amazon.com]? i found mostly at $60+, but this one is at $36...

i think the wilson evolution costs more

I got 2 pairs of this last time it went on sale for the same price. It is kind of bare bones regarding comfort and will do a good job for the occasional pick up game. It does excel in grip especially indoors. For that reason, the neutral colors and the price, i'm a big fan.

Thanks, might get this or the PG4 for my lil bro.
Wilson evolution is the best ball but kinda pricey and best to use indoors.
I also personally like the spalding Zio and tack soft.
Sometimes you can get those on sale for $20ish or maybe less at big box stores.

I think its fine, the different branding and design is what makes this current model cheaper.

i am not him, but i think his main reason is if you are buying a player shoe, nike has to pay some kind of fee to the player therefore if you are looking at two shoes at the same price point, one is players shoe, one is just a nike shoe, then the BOM for the nike shoe is lower therefore the nike shoe is better built vs the players shoe at the same price point

Outdoor ball I HIGHLY recommend looking at the Wilson Wave - all outdoor balls get dusty and slippery regardless of the price. But the wave simulates grip on the ball more similar to indoor. I hate using any outdoor ball after I started using Wave. I bought it after someone else here on Slickdeals recommended it. TRUE
