Certified preowned which roughly translates to "like new" and in this case 1/2 the price of new. Also, Is $7 less if you're lucky enough to have a DTO local.
What's the cheapest battery to go with this? Or should I wait for a combo deal? Thanks!
If you don't need the tool now, I would suggest you wait for the combo deal with the batteries. Search for previous deals to see what kind of combos offered before. HD offers the similar deals quite often. Plus, BF is coming. 🙂
Thanks for the troll, but the problem with your perception is their warranty page does not include "Pre-Owned" as this item is sold as. And since this item is not sold as 'Reconditioned' per their warranty description, one has to presume pre-owned/used is exempt from even the 1 year warranty for reconditioned.
I know, I know, take it on faith.... lol ... or they could get their siht together and eliminate the maybe's.
"Reconditioned Product Warranty - All Reconditioned Power Tools and Outdoor Products are covered by a one-year warranty. You must retain your receipt as proof of purchase for the use of warranty.

Troll? What the hell dude, I'm just providing information.

You can get off brand batteries for Ryobi and a lot of them work just as well as the 18V batteries sold by Ryobi. I have at least one of them, and no problems in over a year. Just search around Ebay or Amazon.
For the homeowner and these brushed models, they might like the similar or less priced when new P516 model[homedepot.com] a little better... variable speed, tooless blade change, etc., it has fewer (but longer strokes) per time frame and it has the 'Antivibe' handle that this used P519 model does not. The 'Antivibe' handle lessens that 'tingly' feeling after using that probably has something to do with damaging the nerves.
Where are you pulling this info from? The brushless model is P517 not "P519", and the P517 DOES have the antivibe handle, variable speed, and toolless blade change just like the non brushless P516 you link to.
