This is on sale for 2 days through 10/25. This is the same as the 900h except you get 5 years warranty versus 1 year. You also get Costco's 90 day return policy and their great customer service. Pay with the Costco Visa and you get 7 years warranty total. The Citibank 2 years kick in after the 5 year manufacturer warranty ends. I wouldn't suggest a Square Trade warranty as it runs concurrent with the manufacturer warranty.

Delivery is free, but you can get White Glove delivery for an extra $20 which I suggest. They remove the TV from the box and verify it works. They also take the box with them, so you don't have to throw it away (box not required for return).

Paying with the Costco Visa will get you 2% cashback ($51.38) and if you have the executive membership you get an additional 2% back for a total of $102.76 combined.

  • 5 Year Manufacturer Warranty
  • Direct Full Array LED (FALD)
  • HDMI 2.1
  • ATSC 3.0 Tuner (4K OTA Broadcasts) - Future firmware upgdade
  • TRILUMINOS Display
  • X-Motion Clarity
  • VA Panel
Screen Size: 84.6" Diag.

They recently released the HDMI 2.1 firmware update for this to enable 4K @120Hz, so it will be PS5 ready. VRR and ALLM will be updated in a separate firmware update at some point.

I previously got the 85" 850g deal and it has some pretty bad blooming in dark scenes in a dark room. I accepted it at first, but I decided I want to get something better before the 90 days comes up. This has FALD which will make a big difference with the blooming, I'll get HDMI 2.1 for the PS5 and will have the ATSC 3.0 tuner for 4K OTA broadcasts. The 850g is also limited to 60hz inputs.

If you aren't concerned about a 5 year warranty, you can try Greentoe with the 900h. I got an offer a few weeks ago for $2399 shipped with no tax. They offer extended warranties through CPS, but they are rated pretty poor. I decided to wait for Costco to get the longer manufacturer warranty and I can deal with a local business if I have issues. For me the extra cost is worth it for a TV this large.

Probably the best bang for the buck. But, I'd like it better at $2000!

I am hoping they drop it some more for Black Friday, so I can get a price adjustment. The non-sale price is $2769 through Costco, so I would guess $2269 ($500 off) if they do drop the price any more this year. I can see $2k price hitting around around Superbowl in Feb or when the next model gets released (900i/90Ci?).

Costco does not take the box and packing material in some areas with white glove delivery.

LG is OLED while Sony is LED LCD. Here is a comparison. https://www.rtings.com/tv/tools/c...0619/12284

Correct - they recommend you keep it in case you need to return in the first 1-2 weeks. I'm sure if you forced the issue they would take it.

Keep in mind the TV sold out in 2 days when Costco matched the Dell sale of $2469, so personally I don't think it's likely they drop the price more for Black Friday, but perhaps they'll do $2469 again on BF. People hoping for $2K are dreaming. This is a much better TV than the LG stuff that sells for ~$1800 and the 850 series from Sony. Perhaps you'll find it for closer to $2K late spring / early summer next year whenever next year's model comes out.

Some details on the firmware update are here on the HDTVTest YouTube channel. : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rI2QIOhMa50

The firmware update doesn't include VRR yet, just 4K@120, HDMI 2.1, and eARC. eARC is what I wanted though so I am very happy. If Sony hadn't provided some guidance on the firmware update, I was going to return mine before my 90-day return window expired in early December.

Recently bought 75" version on recent Costco deal ... hands down the best purchase ever ... the picture quality even for non 4K sources is mind blowing.

If you are worried about burn-in go with the Sony. If you need perfect black levels and incredible contrast for dark room watching, go with LG. Both TVs good for gaming. Also this 900H HDR quality isnt as dynamic and punchy as 950H or LG CX. But 85" gives you more immersion than the smaller LG...

Is the 30 day price adjust from date of purchase or date you receive the item if it is shipped?

There's no way I'd be spending this kind of money on anything but an OLED.
This is a great tv. You are right, if you want something in similar size in OLED you wouldn't be spending this kind of money......You'd be spending alot more. I'm not going to give up 20 inches in size to get better blacks and clearer picture when sitting 3 ft from the screen.
