I can't stand these stupid detent anvil impacts. I have an old corded Milwaukee detent anvil that was my first ever impact (bought before I knew there were 2 types of anvils), and it's extremely annoying to have to grab something to jam in the anvil and release the socket every time you need to switch sizes. Definite deal-breaker if you're going to spend decent money on a tool like this.

Nothing a grinder can't fix. Seriously, shave off half and call it good.

I'll be heading to Lowes in the AM to see if I can get the price match minus 10% for pros

bought tool only in July for 182 on amazon, this is a great deal.

needed both of my 1.5ah batteries to get all the snows off and replace with summer tires.
the 4.0 ah batts should be great, tho will make this heavier.

I used this exact impact a couple weeks ago with a 19 mm socket doing a timing belt service on my Honda pilot and it went on and off like sockets go on and off of a standard ratchet.

All you guys complaining about the denent pin are hysterical.
I watched about 15 reviews on YouTube for the 899 yesterday.
EVERY SINGLE ONE the socket came off the tool when they were changing lug nuts, sometimes it happened multiple times.
So if they were using a hog ring, that's way more annoying than it being difficult to remove the socket with DP anvil.
And if they were using a DP, it's not as hard to remove as everyone complaining about it on every one of these threads says.

Yes but you definitely don't want to be using it on 10,12,14 mm bolts. also, it probably only reaches its stated foot pounds after several impacts. In other words, tighten it to one or two impacts then switch to your torque wrench.
