Last time I got a fake pair even though Amazon was the seller. It may be worth a little more to buy from a legit retailer and save some hassle.

The color was off on one of them (it was sort of yellowish) and it wouldn't do transparency/NC modes. Also the serial showed up with Apple as already having Applecare+ as of 6 months prior even though it came sealed in the box. It was just weird overall. I returned it to Amazon and bought it at Sam's when they had it for $220. I think I remember Staples had it for $199 too but I already had the Sam's one.

I'm a cheapskate but splurged for this and have zero regrets. The $30 Amazon courtesy credit I got for messing up 2 of my orders during Prime Day helped too.
ANC is pretty good on these considering their size. I can sit 6 feet away from the piano when my daughter is practicing and these can drown out like 80% of the sound. Transparency mode is absolutely wonderful, my wife doesn't need to hit me in the head with her slippers to get my attention while I watch videos anymore.
What I like the most is spatial sound. Quite a few times I had to take out my earbuds thinking they disconnected and the sound is coming out from my phone's speakers on the table.
I'm not really an Apple fan, but these earbuds are really worth the money.

They work fine for android users the real magic is the closed ecosystem with Apple, they work seamlessly where with android they work like Bluetooth headphones. Hard to explain, easy to experience.

I just received a set as a corporate gift. I also have a set of the regular ones that I won in a raffle. I probably would never buy either, just too much $$ for headphones, but they are great and convenient. The 1st generation may be better because they are easier to put on, remove from case etc, just easier to handle. I also prefer the general awareness you still have with the gen 1's the sound deadening is amazing in the pro's but you really can't hear much around you and would make me uncomfortable when commuting to work.

Strange, the excellent mic quality is one of the best features of Airprods so something else might be wrong. Compared to other wireless mics they are the best I've used. Now compared to a proper boom mic or something it's not as good.

So I wanted to do this. But someone had posted the Woot deal just before prime day (it was $189 or $190 on that site) that since they weren't a reseller you couldn't get AppleCare. Essentially the 60 day window has already expired before you actually receive them and will not be able to add AppleCare.

I purchased these around prime day from Amazon. I received a legit pair when checking with the serial number through Apple. But the limited warranty shows it ran out on 9/10/21.

This is very Important for people that will want to purchase AppleCare. If you want AppleCare then you will want to steer clear from Amazon since you won't be able to add it.

They're expensive but they are the best overall small wireless earphones in terms of having solid noise cancellation, an excellent mic system, decent sound quality, and very small/comfortable to wear and carry around in your pocket.

What sucks is the battery will crap out in 1.5-2 years so youll have to get the battery replaced at that point.
