I ended up with 2 WD80EZAZ drives. Added to my existing array of WD80EFAX drives (shucked running many years strong) and FreeNAS is working great / fine. For my setup I did not have to do the pin mod or anything like that. Easy to shuck. I haven't seen any noticeable temp / performance differences. I read that the EZAZ drives may be Helium. When I ran CrystalDisk there was a code indicating as such. But I'm no Helium drive expert.
IMO though air is fine. It's a little hotter (but a little faster) than helium.
