I am a Civil Engineer and I did the math for you:

$1970 85" version cost 63.8 cents per square inch of screen
$1599 75" version cost 66.5 cents per square inch of screen
$970 65" version cost 53.7 cents per square inch of screen

Therefore, the 75" version is the worst choice and actually cost more than the 85" version when looking at cost per square inch of screen

Links

Direct Link to purchase TV: https://www.costco.com/sony-85%22...57292.html (goes in and out of stock).
Rtings.com review: https://www.rtings.com/tv/reviews/sony/x900h (IMHO one of the best LED TV's out there)

Costco.com VS Costco Warehouses (physical stores)

Costco.com vs Costco Warehouses (physical stores) act as 2 different business units and will not price match if bought from the "other" store.

Costco.com

Costco.com Price Adjustment Page: https://customerservice.costco.co...l/a_id/628
30-day Price Adjustment
Multiple people have chatted/talked with customer support and have posted proof that orders will be price adjusted.
Multiple Costco.com orders even have the price adjustment already issued.
Free shipping

Costco Warehouses

Price adjustment seems to depend on the associate/store manager so YMMV.
The carton is a beast and DON'T LAY TV FLAT when transporting.

4K 120HZ Blur Issue

(11/13) Sony has acknowledged the blur issue and promised to address it: https://www.sony.com/electronics/...s/00254079
Here is the Sony support page: https://www.sony.com/electronics/...s/00254078

Hope this helps!

Hah. I also got the 75" on the 1570 sale. Wife saw me looking at this and gave me a hard no.

Date of order per the costco.com price adjustment policy page.

Invest in a tv that depreciates in value?? Lol ..

I don't see the "save and invest" for this deal. How is this saving or investing for 2k spent on tv.

I just spent a few already on real estate but still can't justify myself spending 2k on a tv
Then why the hell are you even in this thread?

Oh man I just checked the dimension of this TV: 74.76 x 45.75 x 17.36" (With Stand)

It's Huge!

My dresser, at 64" wide, can't even cover the frame of the TV. But the stand width is a tad over 60" so I'm OK. Still, having the stands so close to the edge is not ideal.

Full dimensions and specs here: https://www.sony.com/electronics/...ifications

Gah! Come on Costco. Give me a deal on the 75". It was $1569 on prime day. Hoping it goes below $1500 for BF. For a $500 difference, I'd still want the 85" if I could fit it.

Do you know how to check if it is in stock in the local club? Im in Phoenix az
😁 The only way I know is to go in store. I had my eyes on the 75" of this series last week so I went in store to check it out. My closest store had about 8 units of the 85". At the current price, I doubt there are any shortage at other stores.

So if I can find it in store should I grab it and try to price match?

Ah, but the real slick deal is to wait for the real (delayed) recession to kick in next year then stack that onto <2% interest rate.

I'm waiting. For now, I need a TV. 😁

Az , Seattle still running hot. Collecting rent with Room to grow still. Dont think these two spots gonna crash so rather get that pumped price before exiting.

LOL, I do not "need" a TV, but I want an 85er lol.

Seriously though, I see this as a piece of family entertainment/gathering experience, esp during this Covid time, which i something we treasure. Memory is priceless.

Our first blk white TV cost my folks about one month salary, but I still remember watching ball game with them in out family room.

It is big. Hard to find stands that are wider than 70-72". I had a custom Amish-crafted stand built. It costs as much as the TV to go that route. But I had it built it wide enough to accommodate a 90".

Ugh, finally committed to the 77" OLED over this with tomorrow's sale, but now back on the fence again!
I'm right there with you. Would really rather go OLED, but the damn things don't seem to want to break the $3k mark over 65".

What lies? So far I haven't read a single comment on here on how bomb this tv is. Just stuff like how to game Costco price match. Still have no clue why this deal is so bomb.

$94.90 on sony a6000 that's bomb.
101$ on sony 1000xm3 from target is slick

Why is this one so slick? It's a genuine question
Its one of the higher rated TVs this year. Its the same as this https://www.rtings.com/tv/reviews/sony/x900h but Costco has a store specific model number to prevent other retailers from price matching. It has VRR and hdmi 2.1 and is a great tv for the new consoles. Also Sony has always had great imaging technology. This is a tremendous price to size ratio.
