I went to Best Buy yesterday and spoke with one of their reps working the TV area and I was looking at their Sony X900H 85" model. I told him about the Costco X90CH 85" model that I thought is the same one and how the price will be $1970 starting on Nov 20th.

He went on to tell me that the X90CH Costco model is NOT the same model as the X900H that Best Buy sells and that the X90CH uses lower end older parts which is why Costco can sell it at a lower price and what not. I've researched alot on this TV and no where have I seen anything about what he mentioned.

I'm guessing the Best Buy rep was just bsing me but can anyone shed some light on this? The Best Buy reps don't get commission on TVs so there's no incentive to make things up, maybe he heard it from somewhere and just repeats it thinking it's true.
It's B.S. they're told to use to sell their product.

And it's disproved by the fact that SONY themselves gives the 90CH a 5 year warranty.

I've had extremely bad luck with TVs the last 10 years failing. What brand has the longest warranty?
I think They're all 1 year from a typical store.

Costco is the only place you get extra warranty included.

If you're new to this thread, this tv comes with 5 year SONY warranty which is extended to 7 if you use Costco credit card.

I hope someone can answer whether TVs these days and possible this TV has a feature I've been looking for. This is the ability to connect two separate pairs of headphones at the same time via bluetooth while watching content? The situation I was thinking of is if you live in an apartment and can't put the volume too loud but want to watch something with someone else? Thanks in advance!
Sony manual.....

https://www.sony.com/electronics/...0h/manuals

....says nothing about more than one set of headphones....

.... and this Sony support doc....

https://www.sony.com/electronics/...s/00159290

.... says just one pair of headphones at a time.

The solution would be to use a second set of wireless headphones that are fed either by the headphone jack of the tv or the optical audio output of the tv.

EchoGear EGLF2 arrived today. Friend arrives tomorrow to help me and the wife lift the Eighty Five Beast woot

I think you could maybe get away with 2 people if they are strong. But Sony recommends 3 people and that's the safest way to do it — because at least one of the people on the side needs to be watching how the bracket(s) are lining up with the wall mount, while they are lifting. The third person in the middle lightens the load so it's easier for the side people to make lateral adjustments.

It's not worth the risk with 2 people IMO. You're putting $2k on the line and if it drops it could easily injure one of you. I suggest grippy gloves for everybody. TVs are slippery.

If you're not mounting this to the wall, do you guys have any good recommendation of a tv stand that would work for this TV? I was checking IKEA and saw this, but checking the the length of this tv it might not work... anyone that has the TV do you guys know what is the length between the 2 legs?

It's a little more than 60 inches. This TV stand is OK from a length perspective. However, the max load is only 66 lbs. The TV weighs 100 lbs

So this tv isnt available online, looks like Im taking a trip to the local warehouses to find one of these and buy it and go for an adjustment after the 20th.

Now to figure out how to unload my 7 month old 75X950G to pay for this one.

Look for 2 different stands by Corliving. One is the Fernbrook model, which is wooden and the other is a more modern looking black glass version called Travers. Model tvr-300t The dimensions of the Travers is 70w 18d 22h.

I just picked up this TV today, the picture is amazing! Very happy with it so far. I also saw another gentleman buying the 75 inch at full price. I mentioned its going to be on sale in 7 days he said he knows he's just buying it now to ensure he gets one then going back on the 20th to price match. I said thats smart me too. It appears people are going to be doing that and buy the time the sale starts there will be little to no stock so i suggest everyone pick up there tvs now and price match on the 20th. I got this mount
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07SGZR...UTF8&psc=1
For my 85 inch. No issues. Holds up to 130 lbs.
