how do i close this thing? i still have it open forever after i pop it up like the pict.
I have a no-name version of this set. It looks identical. I have not had problems closing the case but it won't stay closed, it just flops open. I have spilt out every bit numerous times and it is a total pain in the ass to resort every bit. I now look for good cases when looking at stuff like this.

how did you push it down? mine kept sticking up. there must be some latching mechanism.
I found these all over, including zip 87102 and when I added 6 to my cart while signed in, free shipping was available.
Are they quality cobalt bits that Bosch part number begin with "CO" and not "GO" for gold oxide as this GO21 set is? No, but for $10, they are ok for general usage and make great cheap gifts.
Are these much better than the other drill bits by Milwaukee and Ryobi being listed lately?
Much better? It is a $10 set. All of the manufactures make a range of quality in their drill bits.... generally speaking, you can go off of list price per manufacture's listings of their products, but not always.
High quality bits will have a percentage of Cobalt that is probably an overkill for wood, but you are going to pay for that percentage all the way up to about 8%.... that with quality, you will absolutely pay dearly for. For $10, this gold oxide Bosch set is fine... a step up from the black oxide bits, while they do make a low end Cobalt[homedepot.com] in various sets that have great reviews. That said, the cheap Harbor Freight cobalt bits have been decent after resharpening them.... out of the box, they are hit and miss.
Note: We have an upper end Drill Doctor[amazon.com] to sharpen bits with, that of course, my Dad, who was a Tool and Die maker kind of laughs at. He always wants to show me how to do it on a grinder and I can do it, but not noticing that big of a difference from the Drill Doctor that is fast for our purpose of sharpening or touching up hundreds of bits each year.... that includes putting a split point on them for almost self centering... they don't walk.

These and Dewalt are typically top performers in testing.

Probably was contracted out by both parent companies to a group in China, even though Skil is owned by a Chinese company
