this or Walmart's ONN 65"?
From reviews, Hisense is a better choice for several reasons. It's a mid to low tier TV but one of the better deals in that price range.

nope, that's a trash onn brand. hisense is known to be a decent brand. the extra 22 dollars easily worth it.
I got the 58" 4k Roku Onn model from Walmart last year and have been very happy with it. Plus all my Roku remotes work regardless of whether it is a TCL TV or Onn, which is good if you have kids running off with remotes all the time.

My main questions would be whether the Walmart TV would sell out instantly and whether you would have to pay for shipping, making the lower price negligible.

I don't need speed from my service provider. Although I do have 600 Mbps service so I'm just shooting myself in the foot to limit my tv to 100. But I stream my plex server in my house to my tv. When I play movies like Infinity War or Endgame in 4K Dolby Vision, they will buffer like crazy at 100 Mbps. They need around 20MBps minimum. Sometimes they spike up much higher during the fast action fight scenes.
I'm certain the typical responses will be inbound momentarily, but ... sounds like your network needs a bit of tweaking if you're seeing buffering. Most streaming issues I've seen originate internally, assuming the service is setup at least to the minimum Mbps. The service provider or connection speed is often blamed but isn't always at fault.

I was able to get a pick up in Chicagoland area. First it said Chicago near downtown, that sold out in my cart. Then about an hour later, Vernon Hills said they had 1 in stock and allowed me to order! Thanks!
Lucky you! Can't order for pickup anywhere in the Chicagoland area.

I literally just explained it lol did you read my comment? High quality movies can boost up to 80 MBps at times. And that's why there would be buffering if I try to hardwire at a throttled connection. There's no tweaking needed in my network. It runs very smooth over WiFi. But an Ethernet connection will bottleneck the stream since its limited to 12.5 MBps which even you said. How do you expect to transfer 40-80MBps streams on a 12.5MBps line?

I bought a Hisense 65H8C back in 2017 for $750. This is a killer deal at $250 if you need a TV. I really want to get this for the basement but there's already an old 55" 1080p LG sitting down there. My wife would kill me if bought this Frown
I'm coming from a 50H7C, which they promised would get HDR but never did. How big is the drop-off from the 8C to this, do you reckon? I know yours has local dimming

#1 slickdeal rule if you're not sure on a deal and need to research it further. Buy and you can always cancel it, I've learned the hard way plenty of times.
