Bought this over 4 weeks ago. The sound quality is better than the average 100-200$ speaker. The subwoofer nearly doesnt do alot in low volume environment.
Isn't the Vizio 5.1 soundbar at Costco that's going to be on sale for $150 a better deal? Samsung soundbars tend to be on the more expensive side. I do not have experience with this model, but I wanted to provide my experience with a higher model that I got at clearance price at Walmart.

I recently bought the HW-Q6CT at Walmart for $99. It's pretty much the HW-Q60T, but with the weaker subwoofer you find with this model. The build quality is very good. Looks and feels like a premium product. While the soundbar sounds pretty good, it does have an artificial boomy sound that reduces clarity of other sounds like dialogue, just a tad bit. It gives you a false sense of bass, but when you actually watch action movies it's a bit lacking. Nonetheless, the center channel really helps with keeping dialogue clear. The subwoofer feels almost non-existent. The 5.1 feature is a gimmick for that model. It utilizes some sort of 3D sound technology that really doesn't work, but overall it's fine if you consider it as a 3.1 soundbar that has some extra half baked 5.1 feature.

I have problems with the HDMI ARC feature in that the volume control is really slow and laggy. Mute doesn't work at all for some reason. The soundbar will turn on after a few minutes of being turned off, but the eco feature kicks in and it eventually turns off by itself. Something about the faulty HDMI ARC connectivity is causing the soundbar to turn on despite the TV being off. I haven't checked to see if it cycles between on and off. Also, when I turn on the TV the soundbar won't automatically turn on by itself sometimes, so I inevitably need to use the soundbar remote, which partly defeats the purpose of having ARC. I'm thinking the ARC problems are a result of the TV as it's an older Vizio model. Thankfully, I haven't noticed any problems with sound delay or connectivity problems when the soundbar and TV are on.

I would never have bought it for the $350 that it normally retails at. For $99 it was a really good deal. If you want a Samsung soundbar I'd recommend getting that if it's still available at a Walmart near you. However, I can't really see how this 2.1 soundbar is the same case. It lacks a center channel and the Vizio H51-H6 at Costco is going on sale for $150 and provides 5.1 channels. Rtings.com gave it favorable reviews and a lot of the issues of previous Vizio models seem to have been addressed with that model. I even considered returning the HW-Q6CT to Walmart because the Vizio seems like a great deal with better sound (according to Rtings.com), but I'm probably not going to do that.
That's a good thing. If you want more bass you generally put the volume higher

I have the HW-T550 and it's definitely a quality 2.1 system. Can't imagine this model is that much of a step below. Agree with the previous comment re: the sub not doing much in a low volume environment

This has been the same price since it has been on BB. Works great for $130, definitely not $250 though.

Great speakers if you're playing high bass songs for party and movies!! Doesn't do much at low volume. Worth 140 if you like listening to music with bass. At half volume it will shake your room.
